Zone near Red Square, 3 pm local time / E-mails from Moscow

Jun 28, 2007 14:50

They were eating ice cream on a bench near Red Square, sunglasses on. Just watching the passersby.

"So, Saturday night, yes?" Casimir looked at her over his shades. "Since you will be leaving on Tuesday."

"Maybe." Parker licked her cone. "Maybe not."

Which was when the two men in dark suits, dark shades, and dark expressions arrived. )

I expect to hear the full story later. Will be back in Fandom on July 2. Where is DC?

Yay, you'll be back one day before me! D.C. is just over the Causeway, and a very short train ride. We can grab dinner or lunch whenever you're not doing Fandomy things.

Maybe I won't feel quite so stupid by then, too.

Soooo, Casimir's 'helping police with their inquiries.' ... I'm not actually going to miss Moscow, I've decided.

Well, I guess not, since it's chock full of toads-in-waiting. If you smuggle him back in your carry-on I could have Jeremiah beat the crap out of him, maybe? Or at least pee on him or something.

Your Willow is full of win. You already know that, but still. WIN.

And if he's not in solitary confinement, we can set up a Jeremiah-Casimir cage match as soon as I'm back.

Dinner or lunch or lots of chocolate when I get back?

No. Because I am kidnapping you again, and there is no choice when you are kidnapped, you have to HAVE ALL OF THEM!

RE: Toads

As soon as I know what cellblock he's going to be in, I'll let you know.

You'd think making somebody *believe* he's a toad wouldn't be nearly as much fun as really doing it? But you'd be wrong. Plus? My way is biodegradable and doesn't mock the laws of physics. Physics hates when you do that.

Hug Xander for me and tell him I'll sneak him cookies when Bridge's dad puts him in the ICU. Then tell him I'm just kidding. He probably couldn't eat cookies through the tube anyway.

I am *so* looking forward to reports of his behavior in prison. Possibly to an unhealthy degree.

Oh, come on. It's Xander. He'd find a way. Or get Bridge to build him a cookie-tube or something else equally cool.

But I'll traumatize him a little, and tell him you miss him, sure.

Off to get vokda for the trip home--

Hey! Good to know this is working, yay! And yes, I'll tell you all the embarrassing and vengeful details at Homecoming, if I don't have more news to share before then. How's working at your dad's restaurant going? How's Marty? And the rest of your family?

*sends you virtual pepper vodka to the 1990's*

It works mostly, but sometimes it takes ... two weeks? Very, very strange.

Work is okay. The guys who come in are bizarre -- it's like they think because they're wearing suits and I'm behind the reception stand, they have this license to hit on me. Like they're buying everything and everyone in the restaurant, not just swordfish and risotto.

Marty is amazing. My family is ... well, family. They drive me nuts one day and then the next I can't imagine going away again in a month and a half.

What exciting adventures are you experiencing?

Re: Oh boy.

Hey Parker,

Typing this from the living room of the suite, on my brand new Bridge-special birthday laptop. Speaking of which, thanks for the vodka. Won't be drinking that in huge quantities any time soon, promise . . . although even if I did I don't think I'd end up sleeping with anyone I'm not supposed to, this time.

Ouch. Sorry to hear about stuff with Casimir. Got a hug waiting for you in D.C. next week, if you'll take it, and now I kind of feel bad that things with me are ridiculously, insanely good.

Can't wait to see you.

RE: Oh boy.

Daisy,

You're very welcome, and drink it in good health. I would *hope* you couldn't end up in the wrong bed these days, given you've got three beds to choose from.

Don't feel bad, but do hang onto that hug for me. I walked into this one, but the only one paying is the guy in jail eating flies.

Tell you about *that*, when I get there.

Miss you and see you very soon--

Parker
