At 3 dollars, the
Great Lakes Blackout Stout is so very much worth the price of admission. The price kept me from trying it for a while, but I finally got around to it. And the good news is that at 9% ABV, you can get the same amount of coziness per dollar as you would with your average 2-dollar

No wonder you didn't show up at Theio's: you were home drinking 9% beer. Wish I had remembered to pick up a couple of sixes of South Shore Brewery's Rhoade's (sic?) Scholar Stout while I was in Wisconsin (Ashland). Nowhere close to 9%, but a pleasurable beer nevertheless. You've talked me into trying the Blackout. I'm stopping at Big Ten on my way home to grab one or two. Re: Mr. Kitehead's comment: I had the malt liquor conversation with someone in Wisconsin. Can't remember for sure, but I think 12% and up gets that label in Wisconsin.
