Beer Review 3 - Blackout Stout

Nov 12, 2006 11:03

This is not a review so much as it is a testimony.

At 3 dollars, the Great Lakes Blackout Stout is so very much worth the price of admission. The price kept me from trying it for a while, but I finally got around to it. And the good news is that at 9% ABV, you can get the same amount of coziness per dollar as you would with your average 2-dollar ( Read more... )

Haven't tried that stout. Seems like your much more of a brewbaby than when I saw you this summer. At the time, you came across as not too into it ( ... )

I was into it. I just prefer micro brews. I liked Guinness alright.

I'll definitely check out isbushgay later. I'm busy at the moment.

Thanks for the invite to view your page(s). Love the "rules". How many people do I count as? No God talk anymore, I guess. You'll have to explain Beefy the Time Clock to me.

No wonder you didn't show up at Theio's: you were home drinking 9% beer. Wish I had remembered to pick up a couple of sixes of South Shore Brewery's Rhoade's (sic?) Scholar Stout while I was in Wisconsin (Ashland). Nowhere close to 9%, but a pleasurable beer nevertheless. You've talked me into trying the Blackout. I'm stopping at Big Ten on my way home to grab one or two. Re: Mr. Kitehead's comment: I had the malt liquor conversation with someone in Wisconsin. Can't remember for sure, but I think 12% and up gets that label in Wisconsin.

Maybe see you later.

So, are you going to actually use this LJ thing?

Beefy the Time Clock is... Beefy the Time Clock. I haven't really done anything with it yet.

It looked as though I needed to set up an account in order to view your journal site. Perhaps I misunderstood. Oh, well. I've been thinking about doing a journal-type thing for a while anyway. May be a while before I get going with it, but at least I've got the account set up.

Heading to Crunchy's w/i next 1/2 hour.

I still don't get Beefy the Time Clock. Sounds Japanese.
