Oh, oh, I did it. I signed up for white water rafting Sept 2-4th. And I'm glad I didn't wait any longer to register, because they only had three spots left when I called and I would have been kicking myself for a year if I missed it this summer. Last night I was watching National Treasure (you know, that one with Nicolas Cage.. like the Da Vinci Code, but with the Declaration of Independence and not the Mona Lisa). Today, I recorded ten minutes of children playing with cars and doing science experiments and then realized I had not actually hit the 'record' button. So, for my creative writing class, we had to write these 'shaggy dog' stories, which are supposed to start at Point A, develop though random tangents, and end at Point B. Well, I was sitting in the bath this evening, just having a good soak with my head near the faucet end of the tub when all of a sudden I remembered this fear I had as a kid, a fear of spiders crawling out the faucet.
