.:I:. Not a whimper, not a simulacra of a whimper, as I raped the maiden snow

And thus the virginity of parchment has been broken with this tentative entry. I had certain qualms about it, almost similar to what a painter must feel before deliberatelly blotching the canvas with the first brushes. It needs not saying, however, that usually such painters are merely amateurs afraid of the great vastness of their tools. One ( Read more... )

Sadly, it's not that simple, Morsus. Nice try though.

Figures. Sadly, I am not yet ready to jump into bed with you, Potter. Leave that to Weasleys.

Aren't you just the witty one, Morsus? Unfortunately, I'm not quite as skilled as you are in verbal rubbish.

So I'll simply leave it at 'Piss off'.

Have a wonderful day.

I do happen to be rather witty. My undying gratitude flows your way, Potter, for acknowledging that. I assure you - my heart was warmed a great deal.

Eloquent as always.

You too, my Saviour.

Mr. Morsus -

How are you doing? I certainly haven't seen you nor your wife in a very long time, and I do think that we should all get together for an afternoon of food and socializing.

Sincerely,
Narcissa Malfoy

Mrs. Malfoy,

Ah, how truly and utterly delightful it is to hear from you after such a long time, as you duly noted. I do trust you and Master Malfoy are doing well?

And I must agree with you that we simply must. So without further ado, I invite you and your most respected husband to visit either our humble abode or my art gallery to partake of a tastefully prepared dinner. It would be exquisite pleasure to see you again.

Respectfully,
Montague Morsus

Mr. Morsus,

I'm sure that Lucius would be delighted to attend. It will be such a relief to be around... real society, don't you agree?

I shall discuss this with my husband and we can decide on a date. Looking forward to seeing you.

Yours,
Narcissa

Mrs. Malfoy,

I do agree. It is a source of my constant dismay with the current disposition of powers, which is clearly against the real society. It is pitiful that there are so little of us left unbothered, at least not incarcerated by the draconian and absolutely prejudiced measures of the Ministry.

Please do so. I shall be eagerly anticipating a note from you or your husband on the issue.

Truly,
Montague

Morsus

It seems more and more of us re-surface everyday.

I trust the war has not changed you too much. Times like these can be trying. It is imperative to stay true to oneself and the past one has created.

Would you not agree?

Mrs. Lestrange,

Such infinite pleasure to hear from you, even from underneath the hawk-eye surveillance of the Ministry of Magic.

I hasten to assure that the war has not changed me at all. It has, indeed, strengthened me like many others in the face of danger.

I do trust they are not mistreating you?

The Registry system is quite flawed. That's what we'd set out to prove by signing up in the first place, and being taken off rather pushes the point home, don't you agree?

Although I admit I have difficulty believing you'd feel it was unjust if it wasn't an inconvenience to you personally.

Ah, now I see it was a truly devious plan that you've concocted. What can I say - it IS working, much to my and a lot of others' chagrin.

However, Weasley, your point is an incorrect one, as always, considering I consider it unjust exactly because so many accomplices of mine had been affected.

As I said, a personal inconvience. I didn't mean it affected only you. Your dislike isn't on principle, it's because this affects yourself and people you care about or are connected to, in some way or another. Personal.

You have such a weird understanding of the personal, Weasley, I would have taken you for an uneducated aborigine of New Guinea, if it weren't for the sure fact that everyone knows of your origin. Perhaps where you come from, 'personal' is wide enough a concept to include anyone who isn't you, but where I come from 'personal' is only fit to mean one person and that's Myself.

Montague, strike me blind. I thought they'd killed you when I heard the Morsus boy had not been imprisoned. Though, pray, tell me, you have not sold your soul to the Ministry, have you? Because they ought to have killed you if you have. As uncharacteristic of you as that would be.

So how is life outside the walls for my favourite little protege, hmm?

Rabastan, your missive is like a balm to my cruelly jagged soul. If it weren't for the fact that I can still smell the blood of the damned house-elf I just stroke, I would have thought I was dreaming.

I was thinking of preparing a raid on Azkaban, but right now I have to act my 'social butterfly' role to coerce everyone into thinking I am merely an arrogant and narrow snob. As for my not getting imprisoned, why, I've been taught well. I was near the Forbidden Forest during the... Final Battle and I managed clawing my way into its thickets before the fucking Aurors came. After that it was easy - I merely manipulated several of my neighbours into witnessing for me.

Glad to hear that it was fortuitous positioning and not anything traitorous, then.

Raids are often clumsy and ill-prepared, as I have witnessed in the past, being on the receiving end of them once before. There are more conniving ways of escaping this godforsaken place, as the administration here are somewhat short of cunning. I suppose it comes from underestimating the enemy. That being said, you wouldn't know of any disposable lawyers, would you?

In fact, I do know of a few. I think I can see the glimpses of what you have in mind, however, as long as it works out, I shall be the unassuming one. There is one Father used in his shady dealings with Spain, he is still indebted to the Morsus name. Quite the jaded one. I shall be sending him to meet you whenever you would want.
