Dan Simmons' Ilium continues to get more interesting. Assumptions I had made about the scope and depth of the plot and fictional universe of the novel have turned out to be entirely wrong. "More than meets the eye", as the saying goes.

I've been reading Ilium by Dan Simmons. So far, it's really weird and rather good, and difficult to describe.
