2. I have done night shifts before, but only in Ob/Gyn. Doing night shifts in specialties seem to be easier than in something like ER or general Internal Medicine because the latter two involve a more in-depth thought process because you have to have a broader differential. At least that what it seems to me.

I'm studying for my standardized test that I'm taking on July 15th. The most frustrating thing about standardized tests is that the medicine doesn't always match up with real life.

 Just submitted registration for 4th year of med school. KINDA SCARY. I don't feel like I know enough to be even be a 4th year student. In one year, I will be an intern.

 I  hate writing personal statements. Mostly because I'm supposed to show the residency programs how awesome I am and how more qualified I am for the program than other students. I'm currently reviewing heart attacks in a review book for a standardized test I have in July. In the 'Complications' section it states this:

Asystole:
       - Very high mortality

LOL I guess that's a polite way to put death as a complication of a heart attack.
