So, classes started up again today.  What better way to avoid reading my textbooks than by doing an end of the year survey?  There is no better way.  This is the way, people.  Anyways, I've been longing to steal this from girlinacardigan, and she's being nice and condoning my thievery, so...2008!  And yeah, this is a few days late, but let's just let it slide, k ( Read more... )

Hee. I'm glad you don't want to be extricated from the world of fic. It's a good place. Very warm and snuggly. And full of some very, very good fic. (And some very, very bad fic, but oh well. Some of it is bad enough to be amusing.) Although I was one of those people who spelled names wrong when I first started writing fic. My first multi-chapter Grey's fic, I spelled Cristina with an H the entire time. Oh the shame. And, you know, I hadn't yet learned the difference between then and than, and rereading it now drives me up a freaking wall ( ... )

Oh, rec. That makes a lot more sense than Hockey Sweaters. And it makes me feel a lot less oblivious. Also, I totally didn't know recced was a real word. I thought it was a made up fandom word, but yay. Look at that. The fancy stuff you typed. Yep ( ... )

Also, I was very, very impressed by the stylishness of everyone over there. Maybe it’s a side effect of living in the Midwest, where jeans and sweaters and sweatpants seem to be the norm, but damn if there weren’t a lot of cute boys in cute blazers walking around London. Sometimes fancily adorned with scarves as well.

I thought that to both times I was there. *sigh* I miss the UK. I need to go back.

There were lots of other things that I wanted to comment on and talk about but ugh it's almost 1am and I SHOULD be in bed cuz I have to work tomorrow but...well I was reading fanfics and then LJ called... BUT the point was...do you use msn messenger at all? Hahaha because this post just made me want to be your friend lots more...

I wanna go back too. :( Everyone looks so stylish all the freaking time. Of course, I kinda felt like a slob by comparison, but if I lived there, I'd eventually catch up and by extremely stylish too.

Anyway, I do sometimes use msn messenger. When I'm feeling chatty. It's just my regular email address (morgenwrites@yahoo.com), but yes. You should message me because I like friends! Hee.

Yeah. I went summer before my Senior year with EF tours. We went around Scotland and England and then I spent a month in Glasgow Scotland (best city ever!) after I graduated...I want to move there haha. I always felt like I wasn't dressed well enough when I went out with all my friends.

And I added you! It's the REALLY LONG Ewan McGregor address...which I have had since I was a freshman in high school haha. Yay!

What an eventful year! You'll love Greece - I went there after graduation last May, and it is my favourite spot in the world (well, favourite of those which do not have mountains and snow). And the food ... sigh.

The only other comment is: take your feelings on the city, and compound that with moving to a different country as well. The things you learn about yourself when removed from your 'comfort' environment. I went home, and had different ethnic food for every meal, and it was fabulous. And re-introduced myself to the wonderful thing called public transit. And went grocery shopping, where everything wasn't in the ethnic food isle/store. Oh, the things that make me happy.

You have sweet taste in music! Have you checked out last.fm? It's not a music gneome project like pandora, but they have more obscure stuff. I am addicted.

I'm looking forward to Greece so much. I've heard so many good things about it, and all the pictures I've seen look gorgeous, so...I'd like for it to be April already!

Also, wow, I can hardly imagine moving to another country. Moving to a tiny town was a huge shock for me, so I can only imagine the culture shock that would come with a move to somewhere outside the US. But at the same time, I think it would be fabulously exciting. Also, public transit is a wonderful thing. I miss it a lot.

I haven't checked out last.fm, but I'll have to do that. I'm always looking for new music stuff. Thanks for the heads up! :)

I have an account now! It is so tragically ugly. I am going to start looking for pics with which to make a snazzy banner rightthissecond. Also going to listen to my grey's playlist for song inspiration so I can call my blog something. Also, I'll go over there to do this 37 things thingie.

Yay! You're back for reals. This makes me so very happy. And yeah, it's sad how horrendously ugly eljay makes things in the beginning. But prettifying is one of the best parts!

And now I am off to go visit your new eljay. Hurray.

hey just thought i'd let you know--the fic Turn Your Head over at ff.net just had a chapter update and though it was good, the ending was extremely similar to the first sex scene in LitToS in which Meredith keeps asking Derek to reconfirm his love for her. i noticed it while i was reading and thought i'd let ya know. hopefully it wasn't intentional, you know, one of those subconcious things.

Wow, thank you for letting me know. I just went and read the scene, and, although the rest of the story is obviously very different, that scene did leave me with an uncomfortable feeling. I really hope it's just a coincidence. I've never had anything like that happen before, and it's pretty disconcerting. I'll have to think about what to do, if I should do anything...

Anyway, thank you again. I really appreciate you letting me know about that. :)

no problem, i sort of felt like a snitch but i figured that what with all the time and creative effort you spend making LitTos as awesome as it is you sort of deserved to know. before i came over here and let you know i left her an anonymous review for her chapter basically saying the same thing i told you. so maybe she'll change it or post and edit crediting you. who knows. i mean, the rest of her story IS very different. but ya, no problem. it was the least i could do since you give us all such a good story. which i'm very excited for. :) (unsubtle hint)
