I think one of my absolute favourite obscure fic genres would have to be Mornington Crescent fic and I've just been linked to rather lovely perfect example:

Heeheee Awww I remember The worst Witch, both the books and the tv show. Didn't she have a friend called Maude and there was a teacher called Mrs Hardbroom. Ooooh and the PE teacher was normal wasn't she?

Also I think I read a Harry / Draco Mornington Crescent fic but for the life of me I can't remember where I'd found it.

That was a very enjoyable fic. I'm quite proud that I managed to work out the rules and Sherlock didn't, but then I had the added advantage of the visual. *G*

I'm reading a Torchwood fic in which Tosh and Ianto correspond mostly by playing Mornington Crescent. It is silly in many ways, but I can so see this happening...
