World of Warcraft calls it looting, so I guess it is. :P

Maybe they are planing to do a Blake's 7 thing, where all the main characters die in the final episode. I suppose the justification would be in the payoff, having set them all up to die in some ironic fashion.

At this point... I wish.

The main protagonist annoys me to no end.

i really cannot stand things like that, when there's no one i identify with or want to root for. that's when i lose interest very quickly. i remember seeing open water and wishing the two of them would just shut up and drown already, or get eaten by a shark or something.

we have it tivo'd but haven't watched it yet. i'm skeptical since so far the few reviews from my friends have all been very 'meh.'

in regards to slow pilots though, i find a lot of shows to be this way for some reason. i still hate the house, md pilot even though it turned into a show i ended up loving and have seen every episode. it took me three or more tries to get through the LOST pilot, and though i never finished the series it definitely kept me very engaged for a few years.

Well hellocatgirl seemed to like it and I'm willing to give it another chance but I wouldn't say it intrigued me. I would probably forget about the show and move on to something else if I never saw another episode.

From what I hear (i have not read comic yet but Jamison and Phoebe have) the comic and show is more about the people, their relationships and their survival then zombies.

I think my main concern was that it was VERY slow paced for a pilot. It needed to rev things up a little... I also think it is the fault of the director. They could have used some flashbacks and montages to make things more interesting but the dialogue just never seems to end. I am hopeful for the 2nd episode however... it was much more dynamic.

I loved the pilot and second episode. I didn't find it slow. I do plan on reading the comic since everyone says it is amazing.

If you liked the show you'll probably like the comic. I've only read the first trade but the show is pretty much spot on in capturing what people like about it.

i think there is more carnage later in the series.

that Challenger could have done without the skinny hood stripes... and they should have jumped a zombie in it.

I feel like you need to start with more carnage and then taper off to the more serious dialogue episodes... it would keep people compelled to learn more about the characters and keep watching the show.

And yes they should have done more with the car.

I was also sad to see them trash the car from earlier in the show.

All if my friends love it. Most have read the comic so maybe that is why they don't think it is slow. It is suppose to follow closely to comic. I do know a lot more action happens later. And apparently lots of people like the show because it has already been renewed for a second season. I am also a big fan of AMC's other shows (Mad Men & Breaking Bad). Some think Mad Men is slow but it is also a very character driven show.

I haven't seen episode 1.

It drives me INSANE when they wreck classic cars on TV or in movies >:@

I would have escaped the zombies in my 1970 Dodge Challenger SE 383 but I have no brakes since I need to rebuild the master cylinder. :)

My 2010 Dodge Challenger R/T Classic 345 has brakes that are still under warranty ;D

But who needs brakes when you can just plow into the undead to slow down?!

Doesn't Year One carry repro/rebuilt master cylinders for your year? I think I got even got one for my old 72 Plymouth Satellite Sebring at Autozone. That was 10 years back though.

I see you are a fellow Mopar fan. :)

I also own a 71 Cuda 383M, B5 Blue, Leather Interior, Fog Lights, 3:55 Posi, auto, original engine. I am also on my 4th 70 Challenger.
My first was a 340 Scat Pack car. Followed by a 383 car, a 383 SE car and a 383M SE Plum Crazy Purple.
I am interested in buying a 2010 Challenger Classic RT car. I love the look. I would just like to get rid of the rims and tires as the rims are too big and I feel they throw off the proportion of the car. I would like to have installed a custom size made rim that uses the 15x7 Ralley rim center added to a 17 inch rim. Is your 2010 Plum Crazy? :)

I will investigate year one on the master cylinder. I also need to install a prop valve as its missing so it throws off my brake metering system. This Purple SE is a show car but its buried in my garage. LOL
Thanks for the lead on yearone. I forgot all about them.

17's DO NOT FIT on R/T or SRT Challengers because of the brakes. 18 is as low as you can go. The closest to a rally wheel you can get is the Foose rally wheel. They're very expensive if you can find them. You may be able to find something else though.

The 20's look fine on the car. You don't even notice how big they are usually until you take them off. The body is wide & stout so small wheels don't look as good. My one complaint about the R/T Classic wheels is that they scratch easily and cost a fortune to replace for stock wheels. Torq Thrusts are a fraction of the cost & made of harder stuff.

Honestly if you're going to get a new Challenger, there's not much that needs to be done to it. You can just hop in and drive the hell out of them stock. They make great daily drivers!

thank you! i thought i was the only one who thought the pilot was lame. not to mention that the beginning plays extremely similar in nature to 28 days later. i didn't even bother with episode 2

Episode two is basically Dawn of the Dead. I imagine future episodes may bear similarities to other famous zombie movies, only with more dialogue and less death.

Episode two is a lot better than the Pilot. I probablty would not have bothered with the 2nd episode had the episodes not been back to back.

I will give them a second chance but I won't go out of my way to watch an episode. That's my take on it.
