It doesn't take long for Ami to realize she's not in the home of the Air Nomads any longer, Immediately, a ball of water is resting in her hand, her steps slow and careful. As she walks, frost slowly creeps over the bottom of the ball, ice forming. "What trickery is this?" she murmurs quietly to herself

Mizuno Ami, age seventeen, is quietly seated on a small couch with a sandwich and pile of books. When she spots someone who looks exactly like her, her face freezes for several moments before her eyes widen slightly.

[icebending]

When she sees her double, Ami freezes, eyes narrowing in defense as she pulls more water around her, adding to the amount in her hands. "Who are you?" she demands.

[blueroseprize]

"I am Mizuno Ami," she says by way of introduction. She waits politely for this clone to provide the same courtesy.

[icebending]

That just makes her even more defensive. "You share my name, my face. Why?"

[rabbitofjustice]

Have a Usagi jumping at you! Not to mention a Usagi with a big grin on her face. "Ami-chan!" she shouts at the other girl.

[icebending]

Ami blinks, looking at the other girl a moment. Her first thought ("How does she know me?") is quickly replaced by her brain putting the pieces together. That look, that attitude... Could it be? "Are you... Usagi?" she asks softly, hope filling her.

[rabbitofjustice]

"Eh?" Usagi looks a bit confused, but that quickly turns into something more of a pout. "Of course I'm Usagi, Ami-chan! Don't you recognize me?" Now she's really wondering from what kind of world this Ami is.

[icebending]

Ami beams. "Thank goodness!" she cries, "My comrades and I have been searching for you... We want to escort you to the different tribes so you can learn all the skills you need to." She pauses. "Unless you've done that already!" she quickly adds on, "I meant no offense."

[waterfell]

"This again?" Mercury's never seen alternates of herself using water in quite that precise way, and thus assumes this is one she hasn't yet met. The fact that she seems a bit younger than some of the others is a good indicator, too.

[icebending]

Ami turns to face the source of the voice... And although there is SOME resemblance to her, she doesn't quite get that she's facing a double just yet. "Those clothes... So did the Water Tribe finally decide to track me down?" She sets her jaw. "I'm not going back!"

[waterfell]

"When you're ready to make a little more sense, I'll consider listening to you," Mercury says coolly. Nope, no water tribe here, Ami.

[icebending]

Ami calms. "I thought I was in the Air Nomad area until a few moments ago," she states, "So pardon my disorientation."
