It must be Halloween, but this year doesn't seem to have much variety. Actually, it looks more like someone let an uncreative person clothe everyone in the dregs of a bargain barrel of leftovers from a Halloween store after last year's rush. Someone in a Sailor V costume...? No, a rabbit on it? And that hair can only be-

"Usagi-chan?" Ami's just about to approach her when she lets out that shriek. Startled, Ami looks around quickly. Oh, no. What-?

No time to figure it out right away. "Mercury Power, Make-Up!"

Minako had just happened to be out. She had been carefully keeping her head down to avoid a swarm. It jerks up the moment she hears shrieking. It's only worse when she realizes what's wrong.

How did she not sense a youma this close by...? Was she too wrapped up in her own thoughts? No time for that. She ducks out of the way to transform. "Venus Power, Make-Up!"

As soon as he arrives, he feels it, too. He reaches for something that isn't there, and his hand closes around the hilt of his weapon. The grip is comfortable.

He, of course, knows his alternate immediately, and he makes his way towards him even as the excitement over the 'costume' doubles now that Kunzite himself has. More than a few questions about what series it's from, is it a new one, why haven't they seen this show before-

Kunzite picks up one of the children and sets him down out of the way, not too roughly but hardly gently, either. He moves on until he reaches his twin's side.

A stereotypically cute carrot costume turns feral. Its expression changes to something eerie and other-worldly. It bares suddenly enormous teeth at the two warriors and charges towards them.

Makoto hears the screams as she goes and looks at the rather confusing scene. Which were daimon and which were human children? She couldn't make a mistake and hurt the wrong ones. For now though...

"JUPITER POWER...MAKE UP!" and in a brilliant burst of light, she is transformed into Jupiter. Now to try and straighten out this problem and quickly before it gets out of hand.

Huh? Why- What the-

Yeah, Usagi is confused, But when Makoto transforms and she sees Sailor Jupiter, she realizes she'd better transform, too.

"Moon Cosmic Power, Make-Up!"

They don't have long to wonder before a vampire - yes, a vampire - separates from the crowd and bares its no-longer-so-cheap-and-fake-looking fangs at the two girls. It rushes towards them.

"You want to bite on something, bite on this! SUPREME THUNDER!" Jupiter says firing her attack towards the monster.

Lady Serenity is used to a lot of different customs. She's even used to getting scared by haunted houses and the general creepiness of Halloween.

This is different. This feels really scary, not that half-pleasant scaring herself so she can cling to her friends and they can whimper and laugh and cry together.

But what's really going on? She steps carefully, and her hand hovers near her chest as if she's half ready to transform.

There is a witch, green skin and warts and all. She separates from the main confusion and heads right towards the area where Nehellenia and Lady Serenity are, cackling rather inanely as she walks hunched over.

Be careful, she's probably contagious. In fact, she's potentially highly contagious. At least any warts that spread will disappear by tomorrow? S

Rei comes onto the scene having gotten a vision about the attack. She looked at the scene before her, noticing the passed out adults and running, screaming children. No time for hesitation!

"MARS POWER MAKE UP!"

Transformed, she steps out into the light. "I am Sailor Mars, senshi of fire and in the name of Mars, I'll punish you!" she does her trademark pose.

This isn't time to wonder why Rei can transform again. Venus decides it must be the nexus.

"Mars, let's go." Venus slips herself in right beside Mars. When did she arrive?

The daimon, a pirate this time, brandishes its hook-hand at the two girls- and the hook flies off the hand and straight for them both.

Mars gasps seeing the hook coming towards her as she flips out of the way of it.
