There's another Nephrite nearby, who also has dark hair because he's currently a damned human. He does not look particularly happy to have been dumped somewhere (he has no idea where) by the nexus. The only familiar thing he spots is Usagi, and he heads towards her.

"Where are we?" he asks without so much as a greeting.

Usagi looks over her shoulder at him, she isn't happy either for many reasons and her expression shows how tired she's even if it's not physical exhaustion. She looks around for a moment as if needing to look where they are to be able to reply; "A small island, if it can be called like that, at the northeast of Norway, at middle distance of Iceland and Norway more or less." She replies calmly with a vague gesture of her hand.

He's still not so good with modern geography. He should be, after his work for Beryl, but it had all gone by in a blur and he usually called places by the names he vaguely remembered from the past anyway.

"Why are you here and not in Japan?" He does know Japan.

She moved from Japan around a year ago. But she supposes that's beside the point and not what he's asking. "There's something I have to retrieve hidden here, but it's late and the lack of light won't be good for the search so I'm waiting for the sun to rise;" another easy answer. She doesn't mention the others, she has no wish to get attention on them, she's still angry at Kunzite for driving Mercury away, even if it was the future one and not this one.

Somehow Zoisite manages to look as if he belongs here, as long as the campfire is ignored because it'd be hard to imagine the fastidious shitennou living roughly. His attention is mostly on the men sleeping (and reading) around it; his senses tell him they are the shitennou, but their appearances are very different.

He spots the princess next. If he's surprised by the hair and eye colors, it doesn't show as he approaches her and makes a respectful short bow.

She recognizes that energy, someone she meet some time ago, it would be hard to say how long ago, thought right now even the early afternoon seems ages away from her. Usagi manages to smile for him a bit thought, nodding in greeting after his bow. A bow that is out of place but she has no will to fight it.

Did he hate her? Or just dislike her? Was he just neutral? She can't remember, it wouldn't matter anyway, she knows it would go from nothing to bad. It must be somewhere between those points; "Good evening, Zoisite-kun. Did the nexus give you an easy trip to here?"

He sees her as a duty. To be honest, the moon princess' personality, that outgoing cheerfulness, is a temperament that doesn't sit well with the intensely private and introverted Zoisite. But for Master's sake, he will give her every chance. For Master's sake, he would even give her his life.

"The nexus is rarely noticed until I have already arrived," he tells Usagi. He nods his head towards the shitennou. "They have accompanied you?" It still surprises him, just as he has to remind himself not to ask where the master is; the Earth has a princess, here.

She agrees on his reply, she didn't even notice it herself until he was there already. But still she's not sure if it can't be rough in the traveling sometimes, just because it hasn't happened to her yet ( ... )

Endymion barely notices the differences in appearance between the princess' alternates anymore. They are each her, and they each add up to a whole picture of her. That's why her alternates who've been driven to some of the terrible acts he knows of, worry him. It's also why he refuses to condemn the others. He knows her pure and good heart; he also knows what she is capable of when she despairs.

For the Usagi in front of him, he has a somewhat fond smile. It always starts that way, with each one.

"Happy Birthday," he tells her, to make her happy that he's remembered.

Even if he's an alternate of Elysea, the energy differs a bit, probably because Elysea has the kinzuishou outside of her or active even when she's not using it. So Usagi takes a moment to realize who is there... Wishing her a happy birthday.

"Birthday?" She repeats, confused, as if it wasn't her birthday. But it is, she realizes it's June 30th, she smiles; "Ah, that's right. Today is my birthday, thank you for remember, I hadn't."

She doesn't feel like having reasons to celebrate her birthday after all, and so far no one else has remembered it. Or maybe they did but upon seeing her expression decided to not say a word. Maybe they just decided to not say anything because they were busier with other things.

Definitely not like the princess. She'd be pestering him for a gift already, and probably trying to wheedle him into telling her what it will be. He has that queer things-are-not-right-here sensation that he's coming to find familiar when he talks with her alternates.

With her reaction, he feels like mentioning it was something wrong, but apologizing seems awkward, too. He glances away.

The silence surprises her, as well as him glancing away.

"I'm going to set a record, right? Just one exchange of words and you already are uncomfortable with me;" she comments, more to herself than to him.

Well, she guesses she'll get used. She should get used to it. It would make things easier.

"Serenity." The calm, demure voice belongs to a fairy-like creature of pale hair and a slight figure, garbed in a long white gown marked by a crescent moon at its front, just like on the woman herself. She takes in the camp, and the rough surroundings.

"You have faced many challenges," she observes, and her eyes sadden. "I should have liked to see you in happier circumstances."

Usagi doesn't answer at first, she doesn't even turn. Oh no, the nexus just didn't do that.

"I should have liked to never see you again;" is the cold reply the woman gets. She should be grateful, Usagi is really not in the mood to kill tonight. Yet.

Selene's eyes widen in startled surprise. Of all the reactions she could anticipate from her daughter, that one is completely unexpected.

There must be a reason for it, she tells herself, and she tries to make that inner voice of reassurance loud enough to drown out the pain of rejection from her own child, her precious child.

All she can think is that Usagi must be facing difficult times in this reincarnation, that Usagi is blaming her for the new life they were all sent to. She tries to explain it.

"No mother could forsake her daughter," she says. This is a fundamental truth of her world. "When you took your life, it was as if mine ended. I could not allow our enemy to take away the future of you all. I did not know the enemy would also arise again."

She bites down the cold and hysteric laugh that almost came out as soon as the woman started to talk. It's an alternate, she reminds herself. Even if she doubts the demon this woman was would change that much, it helps the fact that she's basically saying the same first words the queen Selene of this world said to her in this new life ( ... )
