This is going be the greatest week on TV. Adam Lambert is the mentor this week on American Idol (for the Elvis theme week - you know, because they both have big hair and frighten the prudish with their pelvic action). This is the third time we've gotten a decent 4-6 inch snowfall! This one hasn't been the heaviest, since I could navigate the driveway without shoveling, but it's still coming down. It's not too windy, either, so the tree branches are draped in a lovely white. City schools didn't even close, so my yoga class is on for tonight. :D ( Read more... )

I'm getting an early Christmas present: a parking space! I'd rather have an iPhone, but whatev. It's more for my dad, who has always looked longingly at the double wide driveways in the neighborhood. I saw David Cook last weekend, and he was amazing! It was a pretty small venue, maybe 1500 chairs lined up on the floor of a ballroom-type space. Fabulous chandeliers too! The shopping gods smiled upon me at Macy's last week, where I found a sorta (not really) zebra print dress that is close enough to pass for this fabulous Lady Gaga look for Halloween.  Hers is more of a top, but nobody sells things as crazy as she wears around here and this also allows me to side-step the whole pants-less issue.

Since I've recently become such a good customer at Ticketmaster, I get e-mail updates of tickets going on sale soon. Thank goodness I didn't mark them as spam because this morning I snagged 10th row seats for David Cook in November!
