ok so I only have 20 minutes before class starts, but tomorrow is my go-to-class-then-IML-and-kill-time-before-volunteering day, so I should have more time to update then.  However, our 4 day weekend (All Saints Day - the French "faire le pont" which means we got Monday off too) was fun - here's a quick rundown:

So Saturday was tons of fun - Jenny and I took the train to Arles! It was so great. This is the city where VAN GOGH cut off his ear. And, St. Augustine got consecrated in its cathedral. And, DANTE wrote about the Alyscamps (in Arles) in L'INFERNO! How much more amazing can you get. There's an amphitheatre and theatre and baths too, from the Romans ( Read more... )

Today was the 2nd day of volunteering. Vanessa and I went to Pharmacists Without Borders (Pharmaciens Sans Frontiers) yesterday and today for a few hours. The ladies (and a few gentlemen) are so nice. They all sit around and basically chat and gossip and talk and laugh. They are really welcoming of us quiet, gawking Americans.
