This week’s vacation has been pretty low key. I’ve done a few chores, yard work, mostly, but no ‘projects’ per se. Binged the second season of Loki, watched more Summer Camp Island, and various live YouTube offerings ( Read more... )

No time like the present! er, no pun intended ;o)

We ordered two more items today, and I'll wrap them as they arrive. Our little tree will be atop a few boxes!

The Harry Potter and Berenstain Bears comics are too funny!

What is that "GFI Water" cover? I've heard of GFI and GFCI for water-proof electrical outlets.

The Christmas tree this year is going up December 14th. I've put a few decorations out, my gifts are bought and wrapped, and the few cards I mail out are sent.

Harry Potter just made me laugh (I was wheezing, sadly, thinking it was that funny)!

We live in one of two Greenwich's here in Rhode Island, and I thought maybe it had to be an old designation for a water system even though they only technically ran water by our house in the aughts. Kent County Water did not tell me that there might be a hook up out there, and that cost us A LOT when I had a contractor connect us in a different spot.

Good luck with the tree et al!

Yeah. I had to tiptoe through the process of rolling over my work account into a persona; IRA. Fortunately I had financial folks watching my back as I went through the steps. It was relatively painless once I got all of the fields filled in and figured out waiting periods and such

I spoke with the folks who cut the check, and they will get back to me. The woman on the phone pulled up my paperwork and read back to me what I had asked for: a 401 rollover to the company I requested it to. I know I forgot to check one box, the one that asked if this were a Roth account, but that should not have ended with me getting the check made out solely to me.

I'll hear back in a few days. Otherwise I have 60 days to roll money over and/or 180 to cash the check.
