Wait, what? Glee was actually good last night? As in - likeable, dramatic without falling into preachy melodrama, with a handful of very funny scenes and with a smidge of (gasp!) continuity and coherency. I don't want to get my hopes up, but the show may FINALLY be finding its feet again. Fingers crossed!

I have been drawing mostly Game of Thrones lately, but no matter how hard I try, I can't get Daenerys and her stupid baby dragons right, buh. One day I shall remember I have other fandoms and stop drawing Glee things (or at the very least remember the Glee cast includes more people than just Kurt, Blaine and Rachel) BUT TODAY IS VERY PLAINLY NOT THAT DAY.

Alas, yunitsa attempts to capture Andrea Riseborough's face have been unsuccessful. But I am not losing hope just yet.
In the meantime, guys, have a silly assortment of messy sketches. Some Glee, some pre-raphaelite inspiration, and - oddly enough - anime fanart, despite not having watched any Japanese animation in years.

incorrigible (and entirely predictable)
While taking my time with more realistic looking pieces usually pays off, what I really love best is trying to capture a character in a handful of lines, and making a mess with my trusty ballpoint pen because I am sometimes too lazy to bother with a brush. I've had this gorgeous black and white picture of Robert Downey Jr. saved on my desktop for AGES because I knew it'd make a good drawing. Needless to say, Sherlock Holmes was just the inspiration I needed to grab my pencils again.
