Oct 24, 2007 00:47

This is going to be a very brief post as it is quite late and I am very tired. Suffice it to say that speed-dating was a very interesting experience in general and that, sadly, Mr. Right was not present, though there are several possibilities for Mr. Right Now -more on that, and the entire event tomorrow.

I do have to take the time though to make a ( Read more... )

He was not happy about my assertion of his hipster nature . . .
I've been noticing lately that nobody seems to hate on the hipsters more than people who are pretty clearly self-conscious hipsterts themselves. What the hell is that? Glad to hear you had fun. And because I neglected to ask before, how was the 612 party? Was it more fun than sitting in my apartment dumping somebody?

I agree. I mean, to be honest, when I lived in Uptown, I knew more than a few uber-pretentious, asshole hipsters...but that just sort of goes with the territory I think...no one wearing tight, skinny jeans with emo-hair can really rip on others of their ilk.

The 612 party was interesting - sort of in the same realm as speed-dating but with even more liquor. We didn't stay long as there was a wedding to attend the next day, but it was nice to see Wendy and Cindy and Jenni and Matt and Jessie and a couple of the other LJer's. It was definitely more enjoyable than dumping someone - isn't that what text messages are for anyway? ;)

I suppose there must be some use for texting, but I still dislike it. I try to be as nice as I possibly can when breaking up with somebody though. I've been dumped or dumped on enough times that I've usually been in their shoes before.

I'm surprised at how many people have asked me that today. World of Warcraft. You can choose to be the "good guys" - Alliance, or the "bad guys" Horde.

I don't see it has a good/bad side anymore. Each has it's own agenda, unfortunately they don't agree. Personally, I feel the Alliance is weak because they have Humans!! It's all fun though! I think they need to make WoW for the PS3 or Wii and gaming would be perfect :)

Do you play regularly? I wish they'd bring out a game sort of like WoW for my DS.
