I've finally made some progress in getting some of our photos from Nasaruvaalik Island this year! Unfortunately, Flickr only allows me to upload 100mb or so per month without paying them for their services (which I'm too cheap to do), and apparently I'm at my limit. After a day and a half of organizing, we are all set to depart for our field site tomorrow morning...exciting! Here's hoping for good weather, safe skies, and intact cabins!

It's funny, it feels like we were just here yesterday!

We arrived last night after about 14 hours of travel (including our stopovers and the trip to the airport) to a chilly 2°C Resolute Bay, complete with ice-covered ocean and snow still lingering in various places. It's May and that means we're gearing up for the new Field Season! Hurray!! 8 months of being in one place has been a little strange for us, and we're both really, really, really looking forward to getting outside for a few months, to wander in bird colonies, catching them, watching them and generally having a good time. As many of you know, Josh and I moved into a decent apartment in September, but in one of the worst neighbourhoods...not due to it being unsafe, but unpleasant.
