[ Her introduction to Luceti had been one full of surprises. Traversing blindly through forests in the rain, uncharacteristic random acts of kindness, inquiring strangers, finding her temporary lodge and obtaining a dry change of clothes (a t-shirt & leggings; rider suit left at home)... Anyone else would be exhausted after a grand adventure, but she's just tired -- bored. She's found a few individuals that could be deemed "strong," but when she thinks about what she left behind in Ikebukuro... all she feels is a vague sense of sadness.
Well, now that she's in town, she can explore and get a bite to eat. Which finds her here in Good Spirits -- she sits herself on a barstool, looking around for other patrons but never thinking to look at the bartender. After all, don't the rowdy types usually frequent places like these? Not the smartest opponents, but it'd be easy to find a fight here, at least... This kind of anxiousness is unhealthy. ]
Water, please. Food, whatever can be easily and quickly prepared. Not picky, but famished.
[ ... what a strange way of speaking. that's distinctly japanese to him. it wouldn't surprise him if it actually wasn't, but he hasn't heard someone else speak in such a strange way since he arrived here. it's enough to make the bartender pause in what he's doing - as he should, because it means that glass he was just cleaning can be put to good use. ]
Ahh, sorry. We don't have any food here. I could get you a milkshake.
[ ... That voice sounds eerily familiar. It's enough to make her skin prickle (a feeling in her muscles that tells her that she'd like nothing more than to run away). But her look-around the bar is keeping her from acting immediately. She's slowed from the bombardment of information she's been taking in constantly since she first arrived. ]
Milkshake, no problem. As long as glucose levels are increased, I will recover. Deepest gratitude. Will tide over- [ Finally turning around... ] Until --
[Doot doot, working is fun. Even if working with Shizuo = ticking time bomb 50% of the shifts. Zack's still a little bummed about Aerith being kidnapped, but hey, life goes on.
When the shift ends he stretches his arms up over his head, heading over to the coat rack to fetch himself a jacket.]
Could you come with me to the farms? [ it's casual. he's really expecting a no... but he's finding himself missing being around people outside of work and trying to keep an eye out for those dumb kids. ]

[ ... It doesn't look like Shizuo's going to be alone any time soon.
Which makes an ambush tactic a Very Bad Idea. Not that Vorona's against fighting the other man also present, but she knows that Shizuo's strength is enough of a challenge for her. If the other man turns out to be a worthy opponent, too, then she might just be biting off more than she could chew.
Still, giving up and going home isn't something she's ready to settle with just yet. The curiosity is almost enough to burn her from the inside out; her heartbeat's on overdrive within her chest, leaping to life beneath the frame of her ribs and drumming hard enough for her to hear it within her skull. She thinks, if she leaves now, her heart might just leap out from within her head; and ironically, it's because she wants to live that she reveals herself, clothed in a rider's suit and wearing what looks to be full face helmet

[Zack's in the middle of chatting it up with Shizuo when his journal pings him, and he opens it up to catch sight of the message, obviously meant for him. And immediately become alarmed, hopping off the fence to look around. As he's looking, he passes the journal over to Shizuo, lips pursing.]
Vacation's over, man. Looks like someone's out to pick a fight.
Shizuo sits up a little straighter, staring at the page for a moment. The only thing that stops him from balling it up and tossing it away is that it's not his, so it's stiffly returned to Zack's hands. ] There.
[ ... it's a woman. That's the only thing that keeps the slasher smile and the mantra of kill destroy break break WRECK from overtaking his thoughts. ] What the hell?
Shizuo turns his head in her direction, and like a sprung trigger to a trap, Vorona's arm goes flinging forth, releasing what seems to be a blur of red and brown and something distinctly metallic despite the fact that there's no sun to flare across the surface.
... needless to say, it's no time to axe questions -- someone should probably move. ]
