Not long ago I noticed the colors of the autumn foliage as I was driving home from M-‘s school. Ch- was in the car with me so I asked him to quickly name all the colors he could see. “Red, brown, yellow, orange …” He stuck with the basics, occasionally elaborating with the words dark or light. As for the colors, we just had a chapter on language in my cultural anthropology course, and that's universally a male/female difference. Males will do just that, label colors as orange, red, brown, purple, they have about 10 words for color. Whereas females have unlimited words for colors. That happens around the world, not just here.

Just a bit of Sunday night trivia. :o)

Though I was thinking of an alcoholic beverage, I think my words do conjure up a mental picture of lemonade :)
