It's been awhile *cough* since I've updated, though I have been reading and commenting (if rarely). Here's what's new:- Middle Daughter is over the flu, though she does still have the occasional cough!hack!gasp! episode. Still, out of the ten days she was sick, she only missed 4 days of school, thanks to all the snow days we've had.

Thirteen years ago today, my second daughter was born. She wasn't ready or willing to arrive that day (even though she was already two weeks late), but she was -- thankfully -- more than able. She was been an absolute joy to know from the moment she drew breath ( Read more... ) -

In other news -- and as others have reported -- we went from 73° F (22° C) at noon yesterday to 15° F (-9° C) some 7 hours later, enjoyed gale-force winds, rain, sleet, snow, thunderstorms, and a possible tornado... and we're expecting anywhere from 4" to 8" in snow beginning tomorrow afternoon ( Read more... ) -
Having daughters is exhausting
But at least this near to Christmas, it's not expensive.
Last weekend, I took Eldest Daughter ("ED") shopping. It was mostly an excuse for some one-on-one Mother/Daughter interaction. We had a brilliant time. I want to know why -- despite the fact that ALL FOUR OTHER INHABITANTS OF MY HOUSE insist that they hate crunchy peanut butter -- no matter how frequently I buy crunchy peanut butter, I am always on the verge of being out of crunchy peanut butter???
