my livejournal dissapearance and reemergence
so, my dissapearance was because I came back to the States a week ago, safe, if water free. Trying to get back into the swing of things here... I will post some wrap up pics (a best of) very soon.
and, the tribunal announces tomorrow. I know they'll announce calderon. its gonna be a little messy. -

not much to add, except the storms at night have been terrible three nights running. we lost power and the apt was flooded. the hail is the worst. but there are really cute pictures from the tent city of people taking the hail and make ice sculptures that say no al fraude and voto X voto. but Oxaca is a nightmare with people being shot and the ( Read more... ) -

My mind is fast becoming unable to process everything that´s going on down here. Not here, per se, DF is chill and peaceful. But the teacher´s strike in Oxaca has reached critical mass, I think. After meeting the girl writing the Acapulco section of the travel, I decided I should write my own travel book. Actually, NC and I decided to write one. back, back from acapulco. and, not a fun place. I knew going into it that it was going to be touristy, but it is hot, and terrifyingly touristy. Intense, I think, is the best way to describe it. I´m sick. I ate chicken while here, so I think that the chickens are pissed off and have given me the bird flu. Its just a cold, but I was supposed to leave for the beach today. Sigh. I guess tomorrow. I want my tequila and mariscos, gdmit. I deserve tequila and mariscos. hopefully I´ll be better tomorrow and be off to the ocean. -

I´ve been busy with friends.... I went to Teotihuacan, which is fantastic, but took no camera. Which is much less fantastic.
