ok I fell behind in this chapter and I think the one before it due to RL so since you are taking a breather to try and find your way back to your intent, should I read as I had planned on doing right this moment actually, or wait to see what changes you decide to make. As you know I have been loving what you've been doing with the story so I kind of want to read, but if you're going to be making changes I wan to read the story you wanted to tell. SO tell me what to do my friend. Also, college kills the creative spark. I was so burnt out after my last semester I never wanted to look at the story that was my graduating "thesis" (fiction as thesis I love college) and ya know, I did go back several years later and do some slight changes but did not ever actually ever work on that story (and that story is my holy grail the day it gets written I'll have completed my writer's journey) so Iget not wanting to push yourself and lose the creative spark that ignited so much fun Dean hurt and Alec hurt and yum all that you do. Ignites lighter and
( ... )
Hmm...well the gist of it won't change - the same clues, the same 'key' events, etc...it's still leading to the same thing. I might change the characterizations a tad. Maybe the order of some of the events. So...basically these last two chapters are drafts, more or less. Tell you what to do? Uhh....can I say up to you? Lol. You can read them. The main bits happen in the last three chaps and I've yet to write those :)
so Iget not wanting to push yourself and lose the creative spark College just has that effect! To almost everyone I talk to. Well, I hope you one day finish your thesis =D Maybe decades along, after uni is completely out of ya system.
I know, what an evil way to leave it, huh? Lol, sorry! I just want to get it right, I think. I'm too pedantic for my own good :P Thank you for understanding!
Sometimes it works better to write the whole thing, then do a second draft, then post. I also know it form the other end - if I don't push my butt into gear, I might get stalled and never finish. So sometimes it works better - is more of a motivator - to post as you go along.
I have concrit, but I think I'd rather email it. And I definitely want to see what happens next!
For what it's worth, I thought the story was great the first time. But you creative people, *sigh*, always wanting to do your best *rolls eyes*, which can only result in this story being better than it already is *huff*.
Take your time - enjoy the process! Write something YOU would be pleased with. (But give me more Sam angst :D ).
Hmmm... it's 9:15 on a Sunday night... I really should be doing my seminar readings... ... but the fanfiction... it calls to us preciouses... I also should be logged in since I actually have an LJ now... but that requires effort.
Lol, I'm glad you understand the need to take a short break and look at it with a fresh perspective. And, plus side, I"ll def. be giving Sam a bit more of a beefy angst-filled role ;)

Ack!! I start uni again tomorrow. Haven't even bought my readers yet :P Oh I miss the holidays already...and fanfic...my schoolwork is going to start intruding on it! Lol.
That is totally a good idea. I reccomend writing and finishing a fic before posting because it gives you more control over the storyline and you're able to go back and change things to improve the story.
I find doing that, and sending rough chapters to a few friends for concrit works wonderfully, and I'm VERY happy with that system. Plus, when it comes to posting, you can do so regularly and enjoy the feedback instead of stressing over the next chapter.
I'll go back through and re-read the chapters you've posted and email you notes, if that's okay. :)

Exactly what I'm starting to figure is the best option! It's the smart move, and it was always my impatience stopping me from doing it. But now that it's needed, I think I'm going to make this my system also.

That's more than okay! I'll be eternally grateful! Lol. Thank you so much! =D

But I can understand. I've got fanfiction, too, that I was never really satisfied with. Better you take your time and revamp it :-)
