A good friend of the family was hit by a car last night riding his bike. He's currently in the hospital (Jeff) and will be going into surgery sometime today. The injuries are not life-threatening at this point, but very serious. He has a bone fragment cutting into his spinal cord; the doctors doubt he'll regain use of his legs. Had a lovely day on Sat at the Faire....with the exception of a couple gusts of rather frigid air which spoiled the otherwise beautiful weather. Normally the air from that direction is rather refreshing and pleasant. Quite disappointing, especially since a light breeze was all that was in the forecast.
