The city and county monitor mosquito levels by placing mosquito traps around the county and counting how many skeeters get caught every night. Normal is about 50 per trap per night. Holy smokes! 3750? That's just mind boggling. Do you notice anything just being out in your yard/neighborhood? And I wouldn't be anywhere those mud flats, either.

During the hot, humid, breezeless week, to walk outside was to be attacked. When I walked the dogs in the morning, you were pelted with swarms. Up your nose, in your mouth. Awful.

Friday night/Saturday morning the weather changed: cooler, less humid, steady breeze. Heaven!
