The city and county monitor mosquito levels by placing mosquito traps around the county and counting how many skeeters get caught every night. Normal is about 50 per trap per night. After the floods last August, that jumped up to 200 per trap per night. This Monday? 3,750 per trap per night. 3750. I hate mosquito repellent, but, really, there's no choice. I am hit with swarms walking the dogs in the morning.
I supposed to go to a picnic tomorrow. I think I'm coming down with something. Because eating besides the mud flats caused by the retreating water levels? That ain't happening.
