That'll teach me.

I should have watched the video on that news article I linked in my post. If I had watched that video, I wouldn't have done that post.

I would have made this post:

Crying?!? Crying? What the fuck?! That wasn't crying! Her voice barely broke!

This is crying:

Fuck. It's sad when our own media over-blows something like this when we ( Read more... )

I still don't see the big deal even if she had cried. Some people are acting like it's terrible to show any emotion. But eh. Can't please everyone.

Well, I dislike women who cry when things aren't going their way - and that's the impression that was left to me from various articles I read.

I can understand that. Course...it's hard for us to base things on stuff that's printed nowadays. Dam media.

My point exactly. I should've remembered that.

check out this article
I generally agree with it
Hillary may be near to the last democrat
I would want to see in office (issue-wise)
but as much as people are now citing racism with Obama in New Hampshire
where are the people citing the sexism that has been a
ubiquitous force against Hillary going way way back?

here is a quote on topic

If the lawyer described above had been just as charismatic but named,
say, Achola Obama instead of Barack Obama, her goose would have been
cooked long ago. Indeed, neither she nor Hillary Clinton could have
used Mr. Obama's public style - or Bill Clinton's either - without
being considered too emotional by Washington pundits.

it is so true she has to be more careful than anyone

You know, I asked hubby yesterday what Gloria Steinem thought about it.

Perfect!

Actually hearing the clip puts me more into the 'intentional" camp than the "emotional" camp.

He was crying because he finally realized his sons are complete assholes!

I wouldn't say any more "intentional" than anything else any other politician has said on camera.

Very true.

But, intention often (if not usually) negates sincerity. Emotion is supposed to be sincere.

Heh. I haven't seen one candadate this year be sincere about anything, other than their intention to "run for President."

Best quote of a book to date, sums up pretty much my feelings on politics.

"Sad fact is that no one likes to live near the mentally ill...
.... that's why we like to keep them all in Washington DC."
