SEMI-SPOILER ALERT!

I watched the dvd and agree that Miyavi's tour schedule was BRUTAL. About halfway through the video and after watching M collapse again and again made me wonder about how much his management cared about him. Then I wondered if all the fainting on stage was part of the act since it happened at almost every show ... Anyway, by the end of the tour, he was thoroughly thrashed. He did not look well at all.

What you say though, certainly presents the video in a whole new light. Definitely food for thought.

Thanks for posting this. :)

i read the link to the interview. it was depressing and a total mindfuck. i had to read it over and over again slowly just to make sure that i understood what i read. one of my weakness is that i avoid reading/knowing/dealing with anything 'political' because it just leaves me depressed but this time i tried to hold out. it's sad because the world is like that - it's all just too complicated. i like things simple and straightforward. anyway, after that i read the comments below that made the article controversial and i was just confused. don't really know what to believe. both opposing sides arguing seem to know what they're talking about.

some parts made sense and enlightened me, while some parts i think i should be taking it with a pinch of salt (but which parts exactly is the question lol) but all in all the article was definitely a depressing thing to read before i go to bed. sigh

Well I think the tone of the interview was designed to make it sound horrific. But if you take everything the guy says at face value, it's not so bad. The guy himself said many times that people getting blacklisted or basically whoring themselves out, is actually a rare situation ( ... )

I already read the article, of course, and to be honest I do agree with the comment you posted on it. Certainly the article throws light on some things I hadn't really thought of, but for the most part I didn't find it very surprising or revelatory ( ... )

a lesson to.. not get attached to our rock stars? Don't care what they do to themselves and don't put extra expectation on them to be invulnurable either ( ... )

I probably should have applied on a lark for that graphic designer position...

I can rock that shit if I have to...

Also the world outside of Japan is a big scary ball of foreign. the world outside of ANYONE's home country is like that.

But that's what makes it amazing ^_^ It's sad that Japan paints it in such a negative light. And yes, I see your point that the video is going to hit jp fans really badly....but to be fair I have a hard time keeping just japan in focus that way. I'm more likely to think from inside the big ball of scary, and from that perspective, it's still really sad to know that too man people on this side DON'T think about the people they claim to "love so much".

And of course we should get attached to them. I guess it all comes down to different kinds of love an obsession though. I know you, and I, and Stevie and pretty much everyone I know is part of the group that thinks "How can you love someone and not want them to be happy and healthy?"

..you know? I really don't care about being judged anymore. Yes, it's injust, but it's just human. I have even develloped a slight dislike towards Miyavi and his entourage. Don't know why, though, because it's been creeping up on me since last September, since I saw him live last time, before all the crap reached me. ..intuition, probably.

And the really annoying thing is, I've seen his twitter thing: lots of people have been poking him to go home and rest. ..has he gone blind for us? Has he sunk so deep into "wanting to satisfy us" that he's gone blind for what really matters, for what we really want for him?
