SORRY THIS IS SO LATE.

I read this not long after you posted it, and it's great. There's so many little things I love, the way you handled Demi, the general progression of Taylor and Selena's relationship, Selena's almost 'oh no not again' reaction to realizing what she feels for Taylor, and a million other things. Most of all I loved how everything comes back to Taylor's freudian slip at her Dallas show. The slip into gender neutral, and where you went with it was genius.

I love this pairing and this fic more than does it justice :)

No worries! Thanks for leaving one at all! I like your reaction to Selena's reaction simply because I feel like she'd really think something like that IRL if found in that situation. I love that you refer to Taylor's remark as a freudian slip. So freaking perfect. Don't know if you saw this in my response to letscall_l, but that entire speech of hers was her actual, verbatim intro to "Fearless" that Taylor gave at the Dallas concert on September 25. I was in the third-level lower balcony typing it into my iPhone as quick as I could, and my mom was looking at me like I was crazy. I checked it against YouTube video later just to make sure I got it right. I don't know if she always uses the gender neutral and/or if that was any different than normal, but my mind ran with the possibilities. I'm really, really happy that you enjoyed it ( ... )

Awww, this is so well-paced and sweet and just great. I love the moments before they've admitted anything to each other; pre-relationship cuddling is one of my favorite things :D

I also really appreciate that you had a Demi/Selena past relationship there, but didn't make it some super angsty, tragic break up with Demi coming off as the villain. Although those fics are fun too, it was great to see something new like this.

Thank you! Yes, I love the pre-relationship stuff, too, because it just says so much without saying anything at all, ya know? The Demi/Selena thing...I wanted to stay true what's been happening lately (or my theories as such), but I hate it when people get demonized unless they really deserve it (aka Trace Cyrus), and even then it still gets old after awhile. I'm glad you appreciate that as well. Plus, Taylor is friends with Demi, and I think she'd still care and want the best for her even if she didn't agree with some of Demi's choices. In my mind it still seemed really angsty for Selena, but I guess it all balanced in the end. Thank you again for reading and reviewing.
