"Sayid. I was doing a chase through multiple verses, crossover Sue. She got Sayid. He got a flame thrower. I got torched." He lifts up his coffee mug. "I also stole his coffee cup."
Cal Chandler's been living in his new world for a while now. The very first headline he ever read there was related to the assassination of the US President by the new British PM; as a former politician himself, Cal had been been fascinated by the whole thing and looked it all up as soon as he'd settled in.
He has since learned that Harold Saxon was apparently more than he'd seemed (though exactly how much more he doesn't even begin to know).
So when he spots the man who's just come into the bar, the doubletake, and subsequent wary look, are both pretty much inevitable.
- yeah, this was one of those times when he didn't want to be caught staring, wasn't it? Shit.
Too late to worry about that, though, so Cal smiles (the expression of a politician aware of the public; he may not do the job anymore, but it's left its marks and habits) says,
"Sorry, I didn't mean to stare, I thought I recognized you for a second there."
Someone as small and young as Molly shouldn't be in a bar, but there she is, off to the side, reading a little book. She had to look around, however, and once she spotted Saxon--
Well, who hadn't known about him? But still, there was something about him that tipped the young girl off. She tried to avoid looking at him, awkwardly, but it came off as a more 'oh no, it's the candidate for prime minister, look away, look away!' sort of turn. Maybe she could freeze time and get out? Or maybe she was just being too paranoid. She had work to do, after all.
Molly turned her back on the man, knowing full well that she stuck out like a sore thumb to anyone who she hadn't hypnotized already in the bar. Which... well, was everyone. Except the new people that came in.
Rude, but it might be necessary. Swirling her shirley temple around, she avoids any eye contact with him--which is better for both of them, really. She's high-powered, there's no doubt about that, but it was doubtful that she could get a leg-up on him. Especially since he had the rest of the country hypnotized.
... alright, one little peek couldn't hurt.
She met his gaze for a brief moment, that turned into something like a searching stare.
What exactly did he stand for, anyway...? She completely forgot. Usually, Rocky would say something about him, but.. hm.

"It's not a problem. I'm sure you have seen me before. I've been in the news a lot, after all."
He recognizes Cal's smile and gives him a perfectly perfect politician smile of his own. He's still hiding for now. Well, pretending. He doesn't hide.

"Bar! Well. Yes. Bar. At the end of the universe." He pauses. "First drink is free."

He blinks confused for a second. "Oh! Well... um. Sort of? I had an accident with a flame thrower."

Hypnotizing him would likely be a bad idea. It might make him give his frowny face >:( or even his B| face and she wouldn't want that, now would she?
He smiles at her though. :) He won't be mean to her unless she tries to pretend that she doesn't know who he is.
That's just rude.
