Steph walks into the bar, taking in her surroundings. "Hi. Anybody want to tell me where I am?"

Smoking man over there smiles brightly. Cute chick in costume! And one from a fandom he doesn't deal with often. Hurrah!

"Bar! Well. Yes. Bar. At the end of the universe." He pauses. "First drink is free."

"Thanks, but I'm working." She frowns. "Are you supposed to be smoking like that?"

"It doesn't have to be alcoholic. Besides, I think you're too young, aren't you?"

He blinks confused for a second. "Oh! Well... um. Sort of? I had an accident with a flame thrower."

She is, but doesn't tell him that. "I'm fine, thanks."

"Flame thrower, huh? What exactly do you do, mystery man?"

"Sure."

I travel into fictional worlds hunting down...no that doesn't work right. He doesn't want to scare the girl away. "I'm a bounty hunter." For a given value of bounty. It's not like they're paid much.

(Considering what Steph does, it probably wouldn't be the strangest thing she's ever heard. )

Her eyes narrow and she's suddenly wary. "You're a what?" He seems nice enough, and it's not like she's familiar with this place or its clientele, but in her experience, bounty hunters are bad news.

(Probably, up until the flowers. That always gets people.)

"Bounty hunter. Work for an interdimensional organization run by large sentient plants that sends its agents out into various realities to hunt down problematic entities." He smiles trust worthy. See!

She blinks at him. It's not the weirdest thing she's ever heard, but it's definitely up there. Maybe he's crazy? Or she's dreaming. That would explain the bar.

"Okay, that's different." She smiles back, but she doesn't really trust him.

He's certifiably insane. He even has the paperwork to prove it.

"It's about as different as you can get."

"Super-hero jobs always get more interesting the longer you've been at it. One day this will seem normal," he says sagely.
