Max hasn't been keeping track of the days here, so when he walks downstairs for coffee and ends up as the Mayor of Whoville, it takes him a moment to realize why.

When he does realize why, he starts laughing.

"Well, it's about time!"

Bar gives him a cupcake with his coffee, complete with lit now unlit candle and all.

"You look strange." Fry comments, appearing beside him.

He is mostly unchanged, apart from having a toy octopus sitting on his shoulder.

Beat.

"I think I look good. Don't you like my hat?"

"Very bright or too bright?"

"If I had known I would have baked you something more orange," says the man holding a freshly baked raspberry pie.

Max turns and beams at Ben.

"Hi!"

"Happy birthday, my orange love."

"Thank you," Max grins, leaning toward the pie.

If Max looks to his left, there's a rather proper-looking lady sitting with her ankles crossed. An umbrella leans against her barstool, and she holds her tea cup with gloved hands.

It may be Agent 99 in the outfit the Bar picked out especially for her. Or it could really be Mary Poppins. Maxwell Smart will have to be the judge of that.

If it's not 99, this is about to get awfully awkward.

The woman who may or may not be 99 is now getting hugged. Tightly.

"99! I'm so glad you're okay! Ben told me about what my clone did. But don't worry! I kicked him out. Literally. If he comes back..."

Ninety-Nine barely manages to protest before Max is squeezing the life out of her. She tries not to drop her tea cup, squeaking for him to let go. The fancy Victorian underthings are already making it difficult for her to breathe properly.

"Hi - Eighty-Six - it's okay - really." Squirm.

"Happy birthday, by the way."

Beat.

"I have even better news than turning 40."

He pulls away and looks at her with a SUPER HUGE BEAMING GRIN (and some chocolate frosting smeared under his lip).
