Ouch! I agree that Tyr was under tremendous pressure, and sometimes that means making the wrong choices. And the Labor Guild seems pretty downtrodden.
Kal's position on New Krypton is so interesting. He's like Spock with a foot in both worlds. He's neither one or the other (Human or Kryptonian). He was raised Human and is biologically Kryptonian, and there are those who don't trust him on both sides.

Totally agreed on Kal in the military outfit. So hotwrong. (Also is that assassin actually as pretty as he's being made to look while unconscious..? *cough*) The man looks good in sleek, high contrast getups :D

"Hey boy...down boy! Stop licking me....awwww, you can lick a little." :)
I believe the assassin is actually dead there, but he was a pretty guy. :) And I really feel odd enjoying Kal in military outfits being all...general-ish. :) But he's hot...

And poor Kal. I think that the .. what some may argue as OOCness for Clark, is really interesting. If you take it as Clark going through some shit and none of his usual support system is there for him, he's still trying to be Superman/Clark Kent and Kal El at the same time ... ooohhh, it's so good. You're totally right - it's a rough scene, but an amazing one as well.

It's no big deal, right? :D
And oh, I agree about that scene--it's so painful and so resonant at the same time. You can read it so many different ways, and every single one is interesting... I'm really looking forward to seeing where they go with it...

I never know how much credit to give inkers and colorists! They can obviously make a huge difference--I mean, the COLOR of Manapul's art is so important too...
I know what you mean about blood mixing rituals! They're creepy and fascinating, and Thara obviously takes them very seriously indeed (I find her rather creepily fascinating and hope they don't drop her character too suddenly).
lmao! It's exactly why I love him, really. :p Just a couple of words, but so perfect in all its ruthless sneakiness.
He's delightful, and I really love him in this series as having a little more depth and cunning than "Come to Earth. Subject its people. Make the son of Jor-El kneel to me. Gloat" sorts of things...
