Gotta say that my all time favorite 'monsters' are Vampires. I just love seeing each new incarnation of this old myth.

And Vampire Bruce? YUM!

Vampires are so much fun! They're very flexible and can be used to symbolize so many different things...it's been just a blast to write! Glad you liked it!

"I'm glad Kal will not be alone," J'onn said beside her, his voice low.
"I'm glad Bruce won't be," said Diana, and realized she meant it.
***
Yes, exactly! Both of them need each other so much, and they deserve it after all the craziness that gets dumped in their laps every day. :D I'm glad Diana can be happy for them, and that J'onn is all, "what's the big deal people?" in his very J'onn way.

***
Dick didn't need explanations. He wasn't the World's Greatest Detective, but he was probably in the top ten...

Tim was probably in the top five, so he certainly didn't need an explanation.

And Alfred was...Alfred.
***
Alfred wins at life. Period.
*dances* I bounced when I started this chapter and saw that everything was back to...mostly normal...with the bat family. Gives me the warm and fuzzies. <3

And again, ridiculously hot without anything actually happening in this chapter. Wonderful!

Oh yes, that sums up the appeal of superhero romance for me a lot. Life is so crazy all the time, they deserve an oasis of trust and love.

"Normal" is a very flexible word at Wayne Manor. :D Part of why we love it so...

Glad you enjoyed it! I had a great deal of fun with this one...

Awww, what a sweet ending! Holding each other in the night, so romantic!! And it was great to have everyone back at the mansion and the conversation at League HQ was so amusing.

I'm so happy you wrote this, Jen, and it was so cool that Rai drew some of your dynamic and best scenes! I was reading Twilight a couple of months ago and I felt so miserable and utterly bored with it; I was hoping it would get better in time but it never did. So having this to read instead of that series is such a huge bonus for me. Thanks for spoiling us with such a great story and fantastic art! *hugs*

I hear you about Twilight! I bought it to do research for this story ages ago and was like, "Surely you're not going to let all these possibilities just go to waste? Oh, you are?....." :D So it was definitely a sort of...negative inspiration for this story, lol. I'm so glad you enjoyed it!

The perfect ending to a phenominal story! I absolutely loved it from start to finish. Your charaterizations of Bruce and Clark were spot on, the story itself was compelling...just a great job all around.

I'd love to see more in this universe.

I'm really glad you liked it! It was sheer self-indulgent joy to write. And I'd love to return to the universe, I'm hoping some bunny will bit me (a fanged one). I am, in fact, reading vampire manga in the hopes of a plot device jumping me. :)

So far they are all far too silly, lol...

Vampire stories to tend towards the...campy...quite a bit. Another reason why I loved yours, as it never once strayed in that direction.

There's always the tried and true Vampire Council not being happy with a young upstart managing to kill off one of their own...

Or perhaps someone (Lex maybe?) notices the change and manages to kidnap Bruce to run all sorts of diabolical tests on him, resulting in him eventually going into blood lust and killing some poor sap that Luther "gifts" him. This would of course depress him and make him unable to believe that he is worthy of Clark. Lex is then somehow or other able to take advantage of his weekened state...

Eh, I don't know. I'm just (for purely selfish reasons) hoping to flush some bunnies out of the underbrush. I'm sure whatever you come up on will be a joy to read...an angsty, suspense-filled thrill...but a joy none the less :-)
