One more quick update and then I promise I'll get back to writing fic! Though actually I've gotten about half of my double-drabbles done, and still have eight (eight!) stories from the World's Finest birthday party that I want to post. I've decided I'll start going back and forth between them, alternating between an S/B story and a non-S/B story

Ow. That hurt's. When Supergirl was intorduced into the post-crisis universe she was handled what could at best be described as poorly and really irrated me as an addition to the World's Finest. I stayed away from the character till she shared some stories with Steph and the difference shocked me. I hope what on the paper seems to recall her early personality turns into something better in the hands of an experienced writer. I don't sound too delusional, right?
About Cass and Steph: The rumour mill has it that future Batgirl writer Gail Simone informed the internet that if both don't star anywhere else she will incorporate them into her book. As she is one of my favourite writers this is a big relief. Maybe we can make her adopt the rest, too?
I'm a bit sceptical about J'Onn on a book with Apollo and Midnighter but I will wait for the first issue like I do with other books.
Happy writing to you!

Hm, apparently I sneaked into my own thread and left myself an anonymous comment, because this is exactly my experience with Supergirl! I'll probably be giving her book a pass until I hear good enough things about it (I'm planning on buying at least ten titles regularly so it's not like a major boycott, lol).

I'm also really sad about Superman/Batman ending, but at least it will save me some money and space on my shelves. *trying to think positive*

I guess it hasn't been said they're definitely married, but I'm betting Cornell will write them so. If we got to see a ceremony, by the way, I would weep tears of joy--of course, they probably don't have real names, that might make it difficult. :P

Well, to be honest if some things are kind of rebooted I do look forward to seeing some new "firsts" with Clark and Bruce. I can't figure out how the timing on a lot of this stuff is working (Dick has been Robin/Nightwing/Batman/Nightwing, I CANNOT parse how that goes with the constant assertion that these are "younger and more inexperienced heroes."), but I'm trying not to give myself a migraine over it. Yeah, this is true. Since all people are doing is really speculating now, but I'm sure a long the way we'll see plenty of leaks. Though, it might just all be rumors until we see hard proof. But yeah, the waiting will not be fun and it might be a year or more before they actually establish anything! -_-

When it dawned on me that we probably won't get any sure answers in September, even, my soul just kind of gave out from the stress and I threw up my hands and said "So be it! I'm not going to be on edge like this for seven or eight months!" So I'm just going to see what happens and write much the same things I've always been writing anyway! :)

Oh NO! After all those news about Superman (and I can't say I would be pleased too much with them) I was hoping, at least Superman/Batman would stay the same. Now, I’m anxious to see what their relationship will be like.
Hmmm, these Apolo and Midnighter characters remind me Bruce and Clark quite a lot (except for the part about killing people). And teaming with J'onn J'onnz - I think I could like this. :)
"Supergirl’s got the unpredictable behavior of a teenager, the same powers as Superman and none of his affection for the people of Earth."It’s interesting, but this is exactly the same characterization that we heard about Supergirl when she arrived in Smallville. She was a teenager with powers that didn’t like people too much (she underestimated them because they were "just humans without powers") at the beginning. Anyway, after some time she changed her opinion, became more affectionate and wanted to protect people. And I think it was ( ... )

I guess is in general, based on what I've seen, Johns is unlikely to write them as being terribly friendly on the JLA. Morrison tends to write them as friends, but I'm not sure they'll be interacting much outside of the JLA. It might actually be better if we don't until things settle down. :)

That's true. Though he wrote for Smallville during first two seasons (Kara appeared on Smallville in season 7). And I don't like most of the episodes Michael Green wrote, but Clark was written well in them. Anyway, if there is Clark in Supergirl story, interacting with her and helping her to adjust to life on Earth, I would love it.
I think in the long run things will settle down to much of what we're used to. But I don't know if that "long run" is a few months or a few years!
I hope in this too. But I have a feeling it more likely will be years rather then months.

I'm also really excited about Morrison's Action Comics. I like the art. I actually really like Clark's outfit too. Nice man-clothes, Clark. :D
There a few other titles that I'm also really looking forward to as well. Voodoo looks interesting. And Babs as Batgirl (though I miss Stepg terribly). And I think I'll give "Jay Toddz and the Outlaws" a read, too. From the solicit, it seems like they're implying that Jason's gonna be less murderous and more generally badass. Also Arsenal <3 There is gonna be so much Jason/Roy fic soon. I'm okay with this.
The lack of Superman/Batman is making me weep, but I won't go into that or how I'm freaking out over other things. I'll spare you that. Although, last night me and my friend freaked out about the DC relaunch until 4 am and it was very cathartic. :D
And now I shall shut my trap and get back to writing fluffy sappy stories about ( ... )

They are the Man-Clothes from Tiny Titans, aren't they? I BELIEVE THIS. If I felt like that was what he was going to be wearing forever from now on, I'd hate it. As a "I'm starting out in the big city and am unsure what proper attire for ass-kicking is" outfit, I really like it!
I'll definitely be reading Batgirl and Jason Todd and his Band, lol. I'm ready for some Jason/Roy/Starfire threesome fun too!

This is mostly what I'm hoping for. And for Apollo and Midnighter to make a lot of "knowing" looks and "mmhmms" when Clark and Bruce insist that they are "just friends." XD
^There's a fic in there somewhere, I know it!
THEY ARE TOTALLY THE MAN CLOTHES. LOVE IT. I'm assuming that they are "starting out" clothes and not his eventual costume. I agree, I wouldn't be happy if that was his Forever Outfit, but I like it a lot as a Last-Minute-Heroing-Costume-Change.
I don't think I've ever seen Johns write them interacting?
I don't I have either, but I will say this: Geoff Johns wrote some pretty epic slash scenes between Iron Man and Captain America during Marvel's Red Zone, so I'm hopeful. Johns also wrote for Smallville, and he always portrayed Clark as initially having reservations about other heroes (the Legion, Booster, etc), but eventually trusting them and happily working alongside them. So yeah, I'm really looking forward to The ( ... )
