One more quick update and then I promise I'll get back to writing fic! Though actually I've gotten about half of my double-drabbles done, and still have eight (eight!) stories from the World's Finest birthday party that I want to post. I've decided I'll start going back and forth between them, alternating between an S/B story and a non-S/B story

I guess is in general, based on what I've seen, Johns is unlikely to write them as being terribly friendly on the JLA. Morrison tends to write them as friends, but I'm not sure they'll be interacting much outside of the JLA. It might actually be better if we don't until things settle down. :)
It’s interesting, but this is exactly the same characterization that we heard about Supergirl when she arrived in Smallville. She was a teenager with powers that didn’t like people too much (she underestimated them because they were "just humans without powers") at the beginning. Anyway, after some time she changed her opinion, became more affectionate and wanted to protect people. And I think it was especially because she lived with Clark and could see how much he loved people and how he always tried to protect them.
I believe that the writer on her title (Michael Green) is a former Smallville writer too, so it's possible they're drawing on that a lot!
There is one thing that I found weird - Superman’s red eyes in both those covers. I know he should be younger, angrier and he is not the same Superman we can see in comics now, not yet. But so much angry? I really don’t know how to feel about this. *sigh*
Some of it is simply marketing. Boys are their main target audience, and boys want to be reassured that Superman can be interesting and cool and action-packed. I don't think it'll change Superman's character fundamentally to focus on him being a fighter for a while (he does fight a lot of people who deserve to have him get angry at them!), and if gets people talking about the titles...well, that's the ultimate goal, to have people be shaken up and interested in Superman! It might not be the best time for people interested in Superman as having a lot of focus on his interpersonal relationships to be reading, though, I begin to wonder... I think in the long run things will settle down to much of what we're used to. But I don't know if that "long run" is a few months or a few years!

That's true. Though he wrote for Smallville during first two seasons (Kara appeared on Smallville in season 7). And I don't like most of the episodes Michael Green wrote, but Clark was written well in them. Anyway, if there is Clark in Supergirl story, interacting with her and helping her to adjust to life on Earth, I would love it.

I hope in this too. But I have a feeling it more likely will be years rather then months.
