Rikku stood outside the door to MCA #1, chewing a little on her lower lip. Something coming up didn't sound like such a great thing, exactly.

Knock knock knock!

"Come in," Lulu called from the kitchen, where she sat at the counter, a cup of tea steaming in front of her undrunk. A plate of cookies sat out, as well, and the pot of tea was in its cozy, keeping warm.

There were a few bags already sitting in the entryway, waiting for Lulu to head out to her portal.

"Hiya," Rikku said, stepping around the door and shutting it behind her. "So, uh, I got your ... message? Is everything okay?"

Was Yuna hurt? Rikku could pack. Rikku could pack in, like, five seconds.

Lulu rolled her eyes, partly in an effort to assure Rikku that, really, there was nothing to worry about, and partly in actual exasperation. "Politics," she said, as she held out the letter that Yuna had sent her. "Has Yuna been keeping you up to date?"

There was a knock on her door. A rather haggard knock.

And, surprisingly, a yip.

The knock was expected. The yip, perhaps less so.

"Come in," Lulu called, not at all hesitantly for all that she was concerned at the unexpected sound. "I'm in the kitchen."

Although if it were who she expected, Lulu rather thought that he'd think to look for her there anyway.

He slipped in, looking a little more pale even than usual and the puppy that toddled after him was certainly new.

"Miss Lulu? Hello. I... hope you don't mind Makejoy. She's been a bit attached."

"Not at all, Liir," Lulu said, pouring him a cup of tea. "Would she like anything, do you think? Perhaps even just some water?"
