Lulu got up, filling a bowl with water from the fridge before setting it on the floor. She scritched Makejoy behind the ears before turning back to Liir.
"There are... issues at home," she said. "Political things. I need to go back to help." She sighed. "I'm... not certain I'll be coming back, at least not to stay. I do plan to come back to visit."
"I don't think so, no," Lulu said. "Things at home are just... tense. I'm going more to make sure that a friend doesn't overwork herself trying to fix everything."

"Come in," Lulu called, not at all hesitantly for all that she was concerned at the unexpected sound. "I'm in the kitchen."
Although if it were who she expected, Lulu rather thought that he'd think to look for her there anyway.

"Miss Lulu? Hello. I... hope you don't mind Makejoy. She's been a bit attached."

"My father got me Makejoy for Lurlinemas. It was a week or so ago. A little more than that."
The puppy sniffed around a little before putting her paws on Liir's thigh. He looked at Lulu for permission to let the puppy into his lap.
"Is there anything I could help with?"
