I'm proud of this one - it took a long time to write and edit, and at 17 pages, it's three times as long as my typical House/Wilson fics. It's my version of the House/Wilson backstory, based on my fanwank that the two have been romantically and sexually involved, off and on, since they first met. First of all ~

~ pretty much sums it all up for me with these guys.

I love their instant *~*rapport*~*, and of course their insatiability... :3 And your Vulnerable/Asshole!House is perfect...I love it when Wilson is the *only* thing House doesn't have contempt for--when he meets this person whom he has no choice but to care about. And when he shows it through oral sex. :x

The whole Thanksgiving setting was great...everything was great. It was sweet and hot (the sex scenes are just WHOA as always) and I will read it 50 times. At least.

Thank you! Yeah, House is a bit of a jerk, isn't he? But who isn't, at that age! I actually modelled him on myself. I was 'disciplined' several times in college, and had to pay steep fines (drinking beer in the dorms, ignoring a fire drill), do community service (vandalism/graffiti), and attend pointless 'negotiation' sessions (fighting, alleged assault). Not to mention all the things I didn't get caught doing. So I didn't have to look far to find some inspiration for House's jerky character.

He does end up blowing Wilson quite a bit in this story... lucky Wilson ;)

Fantastic, as always. I especially love the ending, with Wilson realizing he makes things complicated and House keeps things simple. Really beautiful and in character.

Will there be more of this time frame? I would love more of this!

Beyond that, I'm unable to be coherent at this time. A side effect of reading your fics. :-)

I hate to dissappoint you, but I won't be writing more young!House and Wilson fics anytime soon. I have another H/W in the works and they are at their current ages. I also want to write more Doctor Who and Torchwood slash. And I plan to post one of my very first slash stories, a Holmes/Watson piece. You know, broadening one's horizons and all. But I'll always return to House/Wilson, my favorite pair ( ... )

Thank you, I was looking forward to your feedback. In fact, I didn't want to post to the communities until you read it, because of your sharp eye. Oh, I like both expressions. Maybe 'deep, tender lust' is more descriptive but I like 'hot, lustful amity' because I always imagine that House and Wilson are friends, regardless of the depth of their relationship, it's still a friendship. That's one thing I've often wondered about gay men - how is it that they can sleep with their friends and not ruin the friendship? (well, not all of them, but many of them I've known.) I wonder if the stereotype is true, that men can separate sex from emotions more easily, and that's why porn for men doesn't appeal as much to women, who find it crude and mechanical. Sometimes I envy them, because I have to choose if a man will be my friend or lover and I usually can't have it both ways, even if a boyfriend can be a best friend, it's not the same as platonic friends ( ... )

Yes, I imagine that House was a fascinating character during his college years - I remember in one episode, Cuddy says that she had heard of him when they were at U. of Michigan together, so I interpreted that as House having a reputation. A reputation for what, though? I figured him as being brilliant, eccentric, but a troublemaker, as evident by him getting kicked out of school for cheating. If you squint, you can find little clues as to House's youth in the episodes, but they are few and far between.

Aw, thanks! It is a super-romantic one, even by my standards (that's why I gave it a Valentine-y title) Sure, I hope to write more soon, but might take a detour and write some Jack/Ianto Torchwood fic, as I'm dying to try my hand at slashing those two.
