re: records, my first love of them was due to my love of indie rock, punk and hardcore back in the day. vinyl was always cheaper to buy than CDs and i much preferred vinyl in general. i think the 3 breeds of people still buying vinyl are: indie/punk types, DJs, and record collector types.
