I think we should go back to glass and terra-cotta jars. Seriously - they are more fragile, and heavier... but pottery and glass products don't mutate our children or give us cancer!

Exactly - you know its funny I was reading that today we have far more don't excercise enough related illnesses (like osteoperosis can be) than ever before in history. This in a book about Roman Britain mind you... So yes, more excerise is good!

gotta make sure any glazes/pigments on the pottery don't contain lead... :-P

but yeah, I'm afraid to make the OJ concentrate I've got in the fridge because of the BPA the container is lined with. And here we were, trying to save money and resources by getting frozen OJ because the only thing you can't recycle from the container is... the plastic lining. Which is exactly what makes it toxic.

Makes me wanna scream.

Lead in Our Drinking Water/Current News Item lthr_wolf June 9 2007, 01:27:51 UTC
Are you going to flush your cold water pipes every morning for at least 5 minutes (the minimum recommended.) Just in case you missed this prime time news item the last two evenings ...it has to do with reducing 'lead' content to 'acceptable levels' in any house built 50 years or more ago.

Wolf

Ps/I sent my son the link on the water bottles -so thanks.

Cool - we should try to get together soon! I've been working like crazy, and not keeping up with things very well, and now the babies will be here in only a few weeks... Are you ever down near our neighbourhood? Maybe we can get together for lunch or dinner or something.
