I think we should go back to glass and terra-cotta jars. Seriously - they are more fragile, and heavier... but pottery and glass products don't mutate our children or give us cancer!

Exactly - you know its funny I was reading that today we have far more don't excercise enough related illnesses (like osteoperosis can be) than ever before in history. This in a book about Roman Britain mind you... So yes, more excerise is good!

gotta make sure any glazes/pigments on the pottery don't contain lead... :-P

but yeah, I'm afraid to make the OJ concentrate I've got in the fridge because of the BPA the container is lined with. And here we were, trying to save money and resources by getting frozen OJ because the only thing you can't recycle from the container is... the plastic lining. Which is exactly what makes it toxic.

Makes me wanna scream.

I'm honestly mortified by this whole concept. I really hope the government does ban the stuff... but to be honest, that seems unlikely. They backed down on transfat for goodness sake (and that was the Liberals).
