As anticipated in my last post, Becoming Jane turned up on Sky Movies and so I just watched it.

I was in HMV earlier today and I saw Becoming Jane for sale for £10. I still haven't seen it, and was considering purchasing on the basis that a) I should see it really and b) £10 isn't a bad price.

...on Deathly Hallows after reading various discussions, JK's latest interviews and the book again.
Firstly, I've become reconciled to the idea of the epilogue, if not the actual epilogue. The idea that it shows Harry with everything he ever wanted - a family and normality - is quite charming. Having read the interview, I'm glad she didn't write ( Read more... ) -
Thoughts on Deathly Hallows
Well, it took me 6-7 hours to finish Deathly Hallows and it was an enjoyable read and fitting end to the series.
I can't let the occasion go by without a few thoughts from me. They're considerably less intellectual and literary than pirate_ewan's, but then they often are!

Harry Potter and....
I was thinking of reviewing the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix film but having read a number of reviews at the Sugar Quill I don't think I've got much more to add.
In summary, I liked it. A great job of adapting a very long book in which not a lot of action happens and yet remaining true to the characters and the plot. A friend of mine ( Read more... ) -
Wombats!
Well, I got an acceptable on my Grade 3 Wombat, which isn't bad considering I took about 10 minutes over it. Apparently "my new qualification will stand me in good stead should I wish to join any of our more prestigious wizarding firms.
