J.K. Rowling gets a lot of questions from fans, and she answers most of them. I don't think these answers can be considered 'canon' - the characters don't exist anywhere except in the story itself, which is told in the actual books.

I've noticed that sometimes people make excuses when they post something at a community - usually along the lines of 'sorry to be spamming the comm' or 'you must all be tired of me by now' - and I really wish they wouldn't.
