Movie Room miroku_okinawa January 16 2009, 20:54:04 UTC
Having finished putting up the last of the snowflake-shaped window decorations, Miroku stumbled towards the movie room. True to his word, he was indeed decked out in his black-and-white Guitar Hero pajamas and he was also in need of caffeine. He could have just gone downstairs and grabbed a soda, but he was far too tired for that at the moment.

Closing the door to the dimly-lit room behind him, he settled on a sofa and wondered which of the movies would be the first to screen. He winced when he saw the familiar intro to Cool Runnings. Sighing, he went towards the small microwave in the back of the room and grabbed one of the many packets of popcorn. As he adjusted the ridiculously long black and navy blue scarf he had tied around his neck, he looked to the door and hoped that the smell of popcorn would attract some people soon, or he'd have to wander around the entire campus center just to be social.

The plan was to be social! Sango hadn't expected to come, but decided on a whim this evening that she should. She needed to get out more. Work, school, Wrath, aikido, Wrath, sleep, repeat. That kind of schedule wasn't exactly conducive to a social life... And besides, any excuse to see the friends she did have was a good one.

A little bit of searching led her to the movie room, and she was surprised to find it empty save for one person. Luckily, it was the person she'd been looking for.

"You are in your pajamas!" she said. She wasn't very dressed up, herself, however. Sango wore blue jeans, canvas high tops, and a hooded sweatshirt that read 'Our Lady of Light Girls' Soccer 2005-2006' across the front.

Yachiru made her way inside, immediately looking for Miroku. She had promised that she would bring him coffee and didn't want him to think that she had forgotten.

As she approached the room, a tray from Starbucks with two coffees and a hot chocolate in her hands, she paused when she overheard voices.

After listening for a moment she was assured that she wasn't interrupting anything. Making her entrance, she smiled widely. "Hiya guys! I brought some coffee! What movie are we watchin'?"

Sango was surprised to see Yachiru, but then remembered what she'd said before about starting classes. "Hi!" she responded, happy to see the other girl. Yachiru was always a bright ray of sunshine, and she meant that in the best way possible.

"I don't know what it is," Sango said. "I just got here..."

Outside near the snowball fight miss_fierce January 16 2009, 22:54:02 UTC
Dressed for the occasion in a slim fitting ski suit, Ran tromped around in the snow, enjoying the natural bite of the chilly San Francisco air. She hadn't been up to much other than seeing to registration for class, talking with friends and visiting the hospital when she could.

Now she was taking the time to enjoy herself. With a cup of steaming hot chocolate in hand, Rangiku watched the other students playing in the snow. She wasn't exactly sure what she wanted to do, but being outside right now felt fantastic.

Wearing a black sweater and slacks and topping it off with an orange Mishima University sweatshirt from way, way back in her college days, Yoruichi looked at the kids throwing snowballs at one another in front of the campus center and quirked an eyebrow. She was here to be social, yes, and to marvel over how much the campus had changed since she was a student, but she wasn't aiming on getting a cold hunk of ice thrown at her.

Her hands in her pockets, she watched as a rather large campus safety officer got plastered in the face with a snowball, and found herself chuckling. "My," she remarked to no one in particular. "And I thought my job came with an odd set of risks."

Concert/Dance lounge call_me_chad January 18 2009, 06:56:56 UTC
Passing the snowball fight outside, Chad thought over his best options. He may inadvertently hurt someone with a snowball, and he was no good at video games. He wasn't in the mood for marshmallows or movies, and he'd never put on a pair of ice skates in his life. That left him with the upstairs dance hall.

He had managed to enter during the song "Satisfaction," which had always been a favorite of his. While he wasn't much for dancing, he didn't mind watching others partake in the activity and so decided to play the part of the wallflower until someone came along that could coax him otherwise.

Chad looked towards the girl who had made the negative proclamation. Was she talking to him? Was she trying to make conversation, or simply expressing an opinion? Realizing that he was standing rather stiffly as he often did during his security job, Chad wondered if she confused him for some sort of event official that could do something about the music or the party or whatever it was that she thought was "lame."

Looking back towards the crowd, Chad noticed that there appeared to be a few people by the entryway, as though debating whether or not they wanted to come in. A few of them did enter, but many of them also left to try out other activities. He supposed that the days when college kids could be entertained just by good music and some dancing were long gone. He didn't know how he felt about that.

More to himself, he stated, "It could be better."

Artificial Ice Rink urbanitee January 20 2009, 03:06:22 UTC
It had been a while since Temari had set foot on campus physically. The only way she had been linked to the University in the winter was mainly through the online classes she was taking and the papers that she was working on. Only through browsing the University Student Life site did Temari see an advertisement about the activities that were going to be given to kick off the start of the semester.

Which was why she found herself in the artificial ice rink, sliding across the ice in slow circles and lines. It brought on a slight sense of nostalgia, especially the times where she would go to the Rockefeller Center's ice rink around this time of year and see so many couples and kids try their turn on the ice as well as joining them at times. Although the size of the ice rink was definitely smaller than that in the New York, Temari didn't mind the difference. She kept on following the edges of the round ice rink and move to the rhythm of the music that was playing in the background.
