I would have more time to be disturbed by last weekend's events if only my boss had not decided to double security at the club. I highly doubt that anyone gunning for a politician would be interested in the majority of Strich-9's patrons. But overtime is overtime, and a paycheck is a paycheck.

Classes end tomorrow. I also move into a small studio after my last class, and will hopefully be completely unpacked with enough time to study a bit this weekend for exams.

My last exam is on Wednesday, so perhaps after then, I can do some socializing. Would anyone be interested?

This Tuesday was my twentieth birthday. I received a phone call from my cousin back home, but other than that, it passed by like any other day. As well it should.

With March on the horizon and the semester rapidly coming to a close, I'm looking for an off-campus apartment, rather than go back to Mexico. Would anyone want a roommate from May until August? I can probably afford my own place, but I'd like to keep my options open.

I'd prefer not rooming with a female, though. It would just seem... awkward.

Tomorrow is Friday the 13th. Do people still consider that a day for bad luck, or is it just the name of a movie franchise now? My grandfather used to make me stay home from school on that day, so I'll be curious as to whether or not classes will be at full attendance. I had no idea that Valentine's Day was such a big deal here. I went into a store to buy some toiletries, and I was bombarded by row after row of candy-filled hearts.  Where I come from, "Heart Shaped Box" is nothing but a song by Nirvana. Good song, but not enough to warrant the madness I saw in that store.

There is a campus party tomorrow night. It seems like a good way to start the semester and forget about the bad start to the New Year. I'm looking forward to it, as my schedule seems very cluttered after Monday.

I've failed him. I should have been there, but I wasn't. Admittedly, there isn't much that I could have done, but... this sort of failure almost warrants a resignation, doesn't it?

Final exams are next week. I think I should do fine. What I failed to pay more attention to, however, was where I'll be living when the campus closes down for the winter break.
