I saw this was posted last night just before bed but I just knew I was too tired to relish it like I should so I left it till this morning so that I'd have the time and alertness to appreciate it all.
I am so glad I did. It was astoundingling beautiful. I loved so many little things about it including your characterisations. You haven't done an indepth profile of each member of the fellowship but each person is well rounded through the interactions with the others.
Sit and tell Auntie Ian your stories. this is just a perfect Ian line

Hello, you! And special thanks for noting my word at making the British characters British. I really do work hard at that. Thank goodness for my English beta empress_wu, who has taught me so much about the differences between American and British English.
JRD was difficult; all the interviews he's given were invaluable in helping me. And what a character he is!
This is one of the most beautiful things I've read. The love and caring shines out so deeply in the most subtle hints and the detail just sucked me right in and overwhelmed me.
Once again, darling Mirabile, you have touched my heart with your beautiful future fic. You always manage to capture these beloved voices - I hear them in my head so well - and weave a truly lovely and special story - just as I believe we all imagine them. Thank you - and this is another one going into "Memories". *hugs you*
Oh, thank you! *hugs you back* I do seem to be stuck in the future, don't I. But I love imagining the Fellowship remaining a Fellowship, no matter what happens. Thank you again!
I was going to be the first poster, but my connection timed out, here it is, late, this was wonderful, all of the characters stories weaving in an out seamlessly, with John holding them together, a nice choice as he left himself out during the making of the film, this is his payback, especially effected by Lij and Orlando, and the silences making more than an entire fic with just that pairing, I went to work and was able to muse on it and smile, thank you!
Losing one's internet connection is so frustrating, isn't it? But I'm glad you were able to be reconnected. Thank you for your kind words! I've been wanting to write a story from John's POV forever, but found him difficult.

That's exactly it -- exactly what I was hoping to do. Thank you so much!
Well, there was so much to enjoy in this. So much detail and depth. I always find it really hard to conceive of large meetings like this in the distant future, but some of the little meetings were incredibly poignant - the meeting of Dom, Billy and Ian was really touching. I really liked the fact the Sean was absent, that it wasn't all too tidy and perfect.
And this bit of nostalgia broke me in half:
"Hey," Orlando echoed, but he held out his arms, remembering a night decades ago when Elijah had leapt into his arms in front of the world watching through cameras.
I feel silly crying at fanfic, but it's not the first time you've done it to me. :)
I love the photo of Elijah leaping into Orlando's arms -- I can't tell you how often and long I've stared at it. Or the pictures of Ian and Billy kissing in greeting or farewell. And of course all the Dom and Billy photos. What a magic collection of people they are.
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed the story.
