This is just beautiful; I love how you look at the future so often in your fic without ever being maudlin. And I love the affection that permeates this story and the care they all take with one another. It's the natural progression of what we hear when they talk about the Fellowship, how those friendships will last forever.
Amazingly fragile and tender, so beautifully woven I was afraid to touch for fear of shattering the spell you'd created. this was just so incredibly touching, deeply satisfying and wonderfully done. I have been touched by a few fics along the way, can count them on one hand, this is among those. Thank you for it.
Here via telesilla and I'm glad I followed the link. I'm not a writer/reader of RPS, really, but I must say I found this story to be absolutely lovely and the characters wonderfully drawn. My own MIL is going through much the same thing you've got Rhys-Davies dealing with here, and it rings altogether too true and heartrending. Very, very nice job. Thank you for such a moving story.
Bless telesilla for her generosity, and thank you for reading RPS! I'm so glad you liked the story, especially since you're going through something similar in your own life. Like you, I have elderly relatives who are slipping away. It's terrible to watch.
That was beautiful and made me feel so good! It was peaceful and charming and amusing and I didn't want it to end. You did a wonderful job of conveying the closeness that still bonds them even though they have been apart for so many years; they can still come together and feel that sense of fellowship from over thirty years ago even if they haven't been in touch for awhile. I thought it was interesting also that they seem to, for the most part, have been involved in hetero relationships (Sean 4th marriage, Viggo mention of 1st ex-wife (must have married again), Dom, Orlando, Elijah married), yet when they get together, must also fall back to some prior 'fellowship' relationships.

I don't think there is higher praise! Thank you very much. I do love the Fellowship so much; I don't want them to end.
