Thank you so much for thinking of me. My poor Mother. I called her tonight -- she's in the Health Center part of her assisted living facilities for rehab and PT before being moved back to her apartment. She kept telling me that my father had packed for her and got the wrong things. I didn't correct her because she was laughing, not wondering why he wasn't around.
Night Vale! Oh, I envy you and I can't wait to hear all about it! What a great little treat! They were in San Francisco a year or so ago and I missed them -- it was on a weeknight, and I'd only heard about it the day before, dammit. But you're going to go, yay!
Happy SGAnniversary to you, too, and thank you for all your hard work keeping up our spirits! What a show. Thank you for your kind words about my first story.
My poor mom. What a hard time this is for her. Thank you.
Oh, I am so sorry to hear about your mom's troubles. That is so frightening about her UTIs, I hope so much that her docs can get this under control.
I must confess I drink instant coffee at home a fair amount and will even choose it over grinding my own beans. But then I am a lazy thing plus the coffee tends to be a delivery mechanism for coffeemate ...
What's really awful is each time, she never fully recovers and is more fragile and, frankly, more demented. It's awful.
Do you drink instant? I've only tried it a couple of times, but my experience wasn't pleasant. However, if you're in it for the coffee mate ;) I can see how it would be quick and useful.
I do drink instant. I also drink coffee from beans I grind. I tend to go through phases of what appeals to me, am in an instant phase right now. Plus lazy :-)
I am so sorry to read about your mother's continuing ill health. I hope that she does get better - but the saying "old age is not for sissies" is certainly true.
It's been a horrible week for the world but remembering your fan fiction made me happy. You are such a good writer; I found my folder where I'd saved my favorites of your pieces and spent a lovely evening rereading SGA and LoTR. What a delight and thank you again for sharing your talent with the rest of us.
That is so true. The fact that this has happened so quickly -- she was fine when I was there in May -- makes it harder, I think; no time to adjust. But it would horrible no matter what, I guess.
Oh, thank you for your kind words about my writing! I did enjoy reading and writing SGA. What a fun, fun fandom.
