I'm writing up my NCAA tournament preview, as requested by several of you, as dialogue between Dan Rydell and Casey McCall. Someone shoot me in the head. I am the biggest dork ever

Ok, I'm too lazy to remember hyperlinking, but here you go:
1)weboggle.shackworks.com.
It's online boggle! It's 24/7/365! You get to see what words you've missed and what words everyone else has gotten! Did I mention it's boggle? Yeah.
2)chicklit.com
Yeah, yeah, so I'm probably not unique here. but I do love the site and all it has to offer.
3)Wrongplanet.net
It's a site for people with Asperger's Syndrome. I was pointed to it a few days ago. I was d/x with Asperger's when I was 17 and it's a very useful site. I like their chatrooms and resources as well.
4)Pollstar.com
To see who's coming to play near me and when they're coming. The only complaint I have is they don't have listings for the Point, which is my favorite concert venue.
5)atforumz.com
This kind of started out as a Tori Amos message board but has evolved far beyond that. I can't beleive I still visit this site, but it's fun to read the topics and sometimes contribute.
I can't beleive I still visit this site i can't either, since my experience there has taught me that most of the people posting there regularly are screaming morons (but not you, of course). *grin*
hehe. Thanks for the vote of confidence. I do not ever go into Main Tori Forum-that's where most of the "omg, Tori is such a gooddess and I MET her. You didn't MEET her so you're not SPECIAL like me" people are.
mighty goods is going to steal all my money, i know it already. *lusts*
i have such a love/hate relationship with mcsweeney's, because i think that they think they're way smarter than me (and everyone else), and that annoys me, but the writing's so good and so funny and they really are rather clever, and so i love them. it's very confusing, emotionally. :D
mcsweeney's has frequently got more wit than sense, though. i enjoy a lot of the writing and i'm not intimidated by it, but sometimes i think they really need to be slapped. :D
mcsweeney's has frequently got more wit than sense, though. that's very true. and every time i stomp off in a huff, by the time i get back to reading them again, i've completely forgotten why i stomped off in a huff and am all, "THIS IS BRILLIANT WHY DID I EVER STOP READING THEM?"
possibly it is because i am jealous of dave eggers' success. possibly because i'm just irrational. :D
Ebay is more of a time suck than I dare to admit. I'll go in looking for one thing to actually buy and then spend hours clicking near randomly, surfing through people's virtual garage sales, snickering at the descriptions, appalled at the prices for complete and total junk. I don't often buy (in fact, I very seldom actually buy anything) but I surf.
Coming Attractions, which has clearly radically changed since I used to play on it at work. It was once Corona.bc.ca but now it seems to be cinescape-something. They must have been bought out. Now I'm hesitant to mention it, because I don't know much of what they are doing now, but once upon a time (three years ago) they were a civilized version of Harry Knowles Ain't It Cool News, fewer trolls and people chiming in with bits of rumor and gossip about films in production. When Dallas still had a film commision, I was able to supply some bits about local productions.
I'm thinking I'm going to be the only one in this thread with these sites. there are at least a couple of parents, besides you, who play on the top five lists. ludditerobot springs immediately to mind. so you might not be alone.
i could discuss my former ebay addiction here, but then i might be tempted to click that link, and i don't want to do that because i've broken my addiction, but man. yeah. i used to spend hours just fucking around on there, looking at junk. never buying, but still wasting loads of hours.
But will anyone else admit to the Kids WB? At least PBS has a pretense of quality...
I was safer before we had PayPal, since the sheer inconvenience of fooling about with a money order was enough to keep me from bidding most times. But I got burned a couple of times with burned cds, so I can usually remember to behave myself.
i have had to stop reading tomato nation at work because it inevitably ended with me convulsing over my desk, hand on my mouth, trying not to laugh and instead weeping from contained laughter.
but yeah. i love me some sars. the roomba one from this week? laughed 'til i cried, and then i laughed 'til i scared the cat.
5. Random Personal Image Finder (Potentially NSFW) - Basically, it does random Google Image searches on common digital camera filenames. It's like people watching without the smell.
you know, people tell me that i should read the something awful forums, and i just can't manage to put up with all the morons. i have no patience and no tolerance for stupidity, but if i did - i can see how they would rock.
metafilter, on the other hand, i used to be totally addicted to, and my addiction comes and goes. rather like how i feel about mcsweeney's, actually.

IMDB ranks at the top of my list as well.

2. MetaFilter - Great site containing links to Art, News, Music, and other cultural interests. Great discussion on the site.
3. Monkeyfilter - Like MetaFilter, but with more bananas and less flinging.
4. Something Awful Not so much the front page, but the forums are the funniest thing on the internet. Take this photoshop thread for instance. If that isn't Comedy Gold, nothing is.
5. Random Personal Image Finder (Potentially NSFW) - Basically, it does random Google Image searches on common digital camera filenames. It's like people watching without the smell.
